We met up at the Clarion River with Dave's brother Bob and sister Carol and her husband Ed yesterday. Bob's dog is a youngish lab (2 years old) and he and Andy had a great time playing together. Bob had invited a friend and the friend's wife and niece and they brought 2 old beagles. Very low-key dogs compared to the playing labs running all over

Glad you at least got to have a level conversation on such a difficult topic. That's hard to accomplish.

I had to just smile and be quiet a lot. I knew there was no way to change their minds. But I did listen politely - at least I can understand where they are coming from more now.
