the night before Easter day stuff

The snow just goes on and on - not really building up cause the ground is warm and melts it slowly as it falls but it just keeps falling. Even Dave is sick of it and he likes winter. I guess he likes winter for the ice fishing and once that is all over his love of winter is over ( Read more... )

Dear Aunt Mary Lou,
Hope you have a wonderful day with your family. I know exactly what you mean about mothers and holidays. They're so good at it and then pass the secrets and traditions down to the children. But no matter how old we are, the memories of your childhood are always there. Give grandma a big hug from me when you see her. I'm just getting ready for everyone to come over to my house today for dinner. Can't tell you how many times I was on the phone with mom this week getting last minute pointers and encouragment from her. Take care and be safe.
Love, Laurie

I can remember the fun of coloring the eggs with Mom and old "Peter Paas" and the excitement of hunting for them the next day. And then all the egg salad sandwiches we ate all week. John just loved those. And finding our Easter baskets. I hope you have a nice Easter and that Mom enjoys it.
We are all having Easter dinner at Laurie's -- eating at 2:00. And yes, she has called me many times for help, and I love that feeling of being needed by my kids, even after they are all grown up. I'm taking my camera and hope to get a few good pictures. If so, I will post something on LJ tonight.
Good job with the food! I have been doing ok, too. Not perfect, but a lot better than I was.
Well, must get to the kitchen and start preparing my food to take.

Hope you have a good day and egg hunt. Kids make the holidays so much fun.
Congratulations on your healthy eating. I am struggling with making good choices. I am overly tired and trying to recover from IBS. We will go to Paulla for dinner tonight. She watches her food choices and tries to have healthy foods for Jessica,so always has lots of veggies. Jess is overweight and I don't want to be the friendly enemy that sabotages their efforts.
