more moaning, and not the good kind

Besides prepping for the party Saturday, looking for gainful employment, having amusing threesomes, and picking my nose, there's a few decent reasons why I haven't been all that chatty on LJ lately ( Read more... )

Well I do have some suggestion for songs for being dumped, jilted or just plain forsaken.

Rolling Stones-"Heart of Stone"
Rolling Stones-"Dead Flowers"
Foreigner-"Cold As Ice"
Pearl Jam-"Satan's Bed"
Sex Pistols-"Liar"
Joy Division-"Love Will Tear Us Apart"
XTC-"Your Dictionary"
Pearl Jam-"Black"
Echo and The Bunnymen-"The Killing Moon"
Led Zeppelin-"Friends"
Robert Johnson-"Love In Vain"
Tori Amos-"Crucify"
Beth Orton-"Stolen Car"
Nine Inch Nails-"Wish"
Nine Inch Nails-"Terrible Lie"
New Order-"Regret"
David Bowie-"Life On Mars"

Hell I could go on and I do not want you dwelling on this, But I will say I support your right to be angry. Shit I have been angry when I have dumped. So I recognize that and support it, that's all.

Thank you! I really appreciate the suggestions, though I only have a few of those. I'll have to download some of the others. Pearl Jam's not my thing, but I like New Order, Echo and the Bunnymen, XTC, Beth Orton, and David Bowie.

I should rent High Fidelity, my breakup was nowhere near as wrenching as any of that guy's. :)

Hmmm! I have to turn you on to Pearl Jam. They make great songs. But in due time. *hugs* Yeah High Fidelity is a painfully funny movie at times. Go see Wonder Boys too, that is a great movie and I actually felt sorry for the Micheal Douglas character in the film. Which is saying a lot for the character he plays. anyone more *hugs*

I really wouldn't mind Pearl Jam, their music and lyrics are pretty good . . . my beef is that you could replace Eddie Vedder with a dying alley cat and the vocals would sound the same. There are some singers (for me: Sarah MacLachlan, Sarah Brightman, and a few others) whose voices lift you up, make you feel lighter than air. And there are some singers (for me: Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, the lead singer of System of a Down, and a few others) whose voices rub your fur the wrong way, make you feel like you're listening to nails on a chalkboard ( ... )
