I find I have so little energy to think these days that I not only haven't been posting to LJ but haven't been commenting (adequately, at length, coherently, or even at all in some case [yes, friends, I suck, I know; but I hope you forgive me] at other people's journals and especially on their fiction that I've been reading. Oh wow. Good... God.

I'm so glad to hear someone actually found SOMETHING. Had a diagnosis. Did something NEW. You know? Didn't just go "Oh! you have pain! Have some pain killers, enjoy!"

The "spinal fusion" surgery of today is nothing like the dreaded surgery of the (fairly recent) past. The results now are excellent, with little if any loss of mobility. AND very, very recently they've begun to do even that surgery laprascopically. Be aware, too, that BOTH neurosurgeons and ortho surgeons are doing operations of this type, and both are good. (Just find the guy who is doing 50 or more a year in your area.) These ailments are frustrating, but do be persistent.
