Fred had been working at her projects desk when Rauxes appeared from nowhere; thankfully, it had consisted of the somewhat dull work of polishing. So when the vaguely familiar voice started up behind her, the only thing that happened when she dropped the piece was she had another small dent to get rid of before she could sell it

Rauxes spun to look behind her, scarcely believing what had just happened. "I..." Then she turned to the woman again - at least she didn't appear aggressive. That made Rauxes a little less tense. A little. "I don't know. I ran, I jumped, and then I just... appeared here."

She pointed in a random direction to indicate 'away from here.' "I'd been on Wellspring Island, you see... and I managed to get into the air, but then..." Her finger trailed to the wall she had mysteriously not created a hole in. "Somehow I must have..." She was just as perplexed as the woman at this. "Maybe triggered a magical defense mechanism, perhaps?"

"You merely..." Fred frowned at that. She had not heard of the Tree starting to randomly teleport people places--and besides, she was wearing the odd, multicolored garments the Tree had forced her into. She supposed the Tree could be doing more than one thing at a time, of course; that wasn't unheard of. But... no one else had reported such a thing happening yet.

Well, perhaps Rauxes and she were the first unfortunates to experience it.

She sighed, in exasperation at the Tree more than anything else. "Perhaps so, but it is far more likely to be the Tree's doing. You are in the Residential area, by the by, section three to be precise." She paused for a moment, then picked up a damp, slightly dirty, rag, and used it to wipe the worst of the grime off her hands, briskly. "...I suppose that as long as you are here, the least I can do is offer you some tea. Would you care for some?"

"I apologize for intruding into your home, then. I'll gladly take some tea, although I realize we've skipped introductions entirely." She held out her hand, noting the clean hands. "I'm Rauxes."

She didn't feel comfortable seating herself, not knowing where they'd be taking tea.
