One minute, she seemed to be standing on the shore of a body of water, looking out over it...
... and the next, she was gone. She was standing in front of a building, an unfamiliar landscape around her. She opened her mouth to ask what was going on, when it occurred to her that not only did she have no idea where she was... but she didn't know who she was, either ( ... )

The redhead seemed to come out of nowhere and then POOF! There he was. "Yo ♥" he greeted the newcomer.

"...Good morning," she finally replied, trying not to wonder how he'd managed to speak a heart aloud. "Pardon me; you startled me."

"Ya new here, yeah?" He didn't recognize her face at all. She certainly wasn't one of his usual patients (which was a good thing, generally), and there had been an unusual influx of new people in the Sphere. "The name's Bookman but most everyone calls me Rabbit."

He had just never expected for it to actually work.
The mess of blue hair, casual slouch-- it all matched one of the first memories he had received. The white Shiba wasn't there, but Castor didn't really care, clicking his tongue to get Boy's attention and making a beeline for the lost-looking teen, lanky dog trotting at his side.
Shit. He had thought, after Pollux had disappeared, that he was just shit out of luck for ever seeing anyone from home again, let alone someone he apparently was friends with. He knew nothing about the kid, but... sure enough, it had to have been the same guy ( ... )

He snapped back to reality when he heard someone, and he turned his head. Before he could reply, a dull pain flared to life behind one of his eyes. As the other approached, he felt a strange sensation, a clench in his stomach. Something about seeing this guy didn't feel right... and he didn't know why.
"Yeah," he answered, nodding.
"...But where is 'here'?"

A pause as he glanced over the other teen- Newborn clothes, still holding a map and new journal and... fuck, maybe he hadn't gotten the rundown. What a pain in the ass. Well, Castor really didn't feel like going on a tangent... But maybe an introduction would be good.
A shoulder rolled. "Name's Castor. You picked something to call yourself, right?" he swapped the worn leather leash tethered to Boy to his other hand as the dog sat and scratched herself happily.

When she opened her eyes, she couldn't see.
This wasn't unusual, so when the small, dark-haired girl stood, she wondered why she felt so suddenly bereft. Perhaps it was the dream she'd just had -- there were people in it that she could see, somehow, without really seeing them. She could feel them, know where they were and when they were moving. It was something to do with vibrations ( ... )

Naturally, Sasuke honestly didn't mean to hit into her. Of course, he turned around and quickly said, "Whoops! Sorry about that!" before noticing that somewhat vacant stare not really seeing anything. "Uhh, are you alright?"

The rain woke her. Or had she been sleeping? She looked around and then down at the book in her hands. Huge drops of water fell intermittently as thunder rolled up above, but no lightning yet. Woods, but even in foul weather they did not seem as dark as the one she had seen just now. She pulled her wings in tighter as the rain hit them.
Where was she? Who was she? That was important. I was the dragon in Darkling Woods. The name came unbidden, but nothing else followed. Just her, the book, and nobody else. The humans were not here. Could they fight without her? There had been so many of them, but the darkness ( ... )

...Out where, exactly? The last lingering remnants of drowsiness abruptly dissipated as he realized that this was most definitely not where he'd just been. It had been cold there, he remembered, the ground covered in fresh snow, and there had been stone statues everywhere he looked; statues of cats, tigers, hawks, beorc, and they had spoken in his mind... ah, but that must have been a dream. Statues couldn't speak.
That didn't explain why he was out here, though, or where here was... and he noted with a growing sense of trepidation that he couldn't recall where he was supposed to be or what he was supposed to be doing. The tip of his tail twitched nervously. He didn't even know his own name ( ... )

She backed up a step when he called out. There was nobody else here he could be talking to. That, and he was looking directly at her. I fought with the humans. I protected them. I am a dragon. Why am I so frightened just to speak?
"Hello," she said in quite a small voice. A thousand questions crowded into her mind, but she waited for him to ask his own.

Those wings look like dragon wings, his mind immediately supplied... but he didn't think the rest of her looked very dragon-like. It was hard to be sure, though... it was hard to be sure of anything right now, with his memory as lacking as it was. But, dragon or not, a cute little kit like her shouldn't be wandering around alone in a forest during a thunderstorm, surely ( ... )

"What's so funny, Mr. Hat?" she said in a voice that was louder and more cheerful than strictly necessary as she popped up behind it.
Reply
"I'm not a hat, I'm a Smurf!" He said, still grinning from the exploding present from his dream. "I was thinkin' about my dream! There was an exploding present and it was so funny!"

She canted her head to the side as he spoke about the present, "Like a prank? I love pranks--oh, but nobody got hurt, did they?" Because that was the number one rule of pranking, in Giggles' book. Pranks stopped being funny once they hurt people, even if it was just hurting their feelings.
