The sky overhead was cast with a dark cloud and the way it bubbled with apprehension and ominous warning made Black's restless feeling slow to a crawl. His heart hammered in his chest, getting more excited by the second. He had never seen a hurricane before. The demon butler was quick in his movements and dashed towards the expected area where he could see the clouds gathering.

Higher. He had to get higher. He was on the building in minutes, each step having taken him higher. Fingers gripped hard on the pole upon the building, crimson eyes strained to resist turning into that cool lavendar. His lips parted and formed a little crack of a smile.

Chief was rushing through the streets with a small case containing the few belonging he had gotten since arriving. Every now and then he would cast worried looks to the sky. Those clouds foretold quite the violent weather event.

As far as he remembered this was his first hurricane. Yet a part of him seemed to know just how lethal these things could be. For a moment he wondered if Chivalry had already found a shelter. Well knowing him he probably did. Chief had to focus on his own safety now.

Crystal was also running as fast as she can, not being able to tell what was going on. She looked around with an extremely worried look on her face while still running. As if the questions in her mind and her own troubles weren't already enough...

The faces of people, she didn't know anything about any of them. From what she could say, this wasn't even her own world. She was lost in her own loneliness as she ran across the streets. Even that hurricane wasn't that big of a problem for her now. Not that she had any place to stay anyway.

Chief had just turned a corner when he spotted a girl apparently running the opposite way of the elevator. Where on earth was she going? Chief frowned and looked at all the other stragglers rushing for the elevator. As he eyed her retreating back he felt dizzy. That same sense of vertigo he experienced when he met Gray.

"What the-" he muttered, holding his hand to his face to make the view stop swaying as much. But now there was something else. Some impossible to explain urge to stop that person from going any further. Why? He shook his head and looked again. If he was going to do something he had better do it quickly.

Chief looked up at the clouds. It looked like the main even would start any minute now. Damn it all. There's no way he could leave a girl run into this storm even if she was someone he knew or not.

With that decision made, Chief started after the girl.

"Hey! Miss! You're going the wrong way! Wait a moment!!" Chief called out when he got closer.

Crystal suddenly stopped when she heard a voice that was clearly calling for her. At that moment, she stopped abruptly and before she could turn to look at the person who was calling, a sudden pain hit her on the head. The girl immediately took her head between her hands, closing her eyes at the same time.

The voice, it was too familiar, it was so painfully familiar that it hurt. She could remember this voice from her dream. Her whole body shivered suddenly. Then, the girl finally got the courage to turn around to face the owner of the voice.

Her eyes narrowed. No, she still couldn't remember this face. But she was sure that his voice was familiar. With desperate eyes, the girl looked at the man who was much taller than her.

"Who might you be?" she asked with a soft and weak voice, still standing where she was.

Late morning-ish, Captain Planet (near the aquarium) - open to Bellflower iattractmushi October 11 2010, 23:37:44 UTC
Cloud had spent the majority of the last three days evacuating cocoons, helping out in the Wilderness, and assisting with getting things out of the Clinic--basically doing whatever he could to help. So it wasn't until early this morning (after leaving his box in one of the many cabins that had appeared in the Wilderness) that he'd even started looking for the stray cat that seemed to like him. He didn't want the animal getting left behind to fend for himself during this storm, and it didn't seem likely anyone else would think to look for a single stray cat.

He'd been searching for a few hours, ignoring the way the rising wind made his coat flap around his legs more strongly over time, before he finally spotted Adashino. The cat was crouched down under a bush near the Aquarium building, looking very unhappy. "There you are... come on, we need to leave." He crouched down in front of the bush, moving to pick up the cat. Adashino, his ears flat against his head and his tail lashing madly, scooted backwards, away from Cloud's hands. " ( ... )

Bellflower had spent the morning organizing things in Wilderness, and helping to make sure their temporary medical facilities were adequately set-up. In the midst of it, as they began to receive reports from those working on the other floors that the storm had begun in earnest, and that the winds were picking up, she realized someone was missing. Cloud. He had been there earlier, helping them with supplies, but she had not seen him in the last hour. No doubt he had returned to one of the higher floors for something, but the weather was becoming dangerous, and she felt uneasy without word of his whereabouts ( ... )

Adashino had calmed as Cloud walked toward the bridge leading to the Bazaar, maybe understanding that Cloud was trying to carry him to safety. Good thing, too--he was too busy fighting off rising dizziness to wrestle with the cat ( ... )

The wind was picking up dirt and leaves, which made it difficult to see to, but as Bellflower scanned the Park, she saw a figure, familiar shock of white hair more obvious against the darker trees, fall to one knee. She picked up her pace as best she could while not losing her own footing. No doubt he had simply tripped on something, but with the winds tossing debris around, that was still dangerous. "Cloud-san! Are you alright?"

The wind had picked up at some point before the sky had lightened, but it hadn't become anything really noteworthy until perhaps the middle of the morning ( ... )

Temporary Housing - open to all :3 sarcasmbender October 14 2010, 05:21:34 UTC
Wolf had been here for two weeks already and wasn't any closer to moving out of temporary or finding a job than he had been before. People seemed to be nervous, but storms didn't seem that out of the ordinary. Now, the journals were saying hurricane, and that didn't bode well in his mind at all. He felt like he'd been through something similar before, and while he didn't remember the situation, he could tell that it hadn't been pleasant.

Marbles was helping people move, or at least that was what she had said the last time they'd talked. Wolf was worried about her - he was her older brother after all, it was his job! - but she never listened.

The winds were picking up now, and he wanted to head to the Wilderness. It would have already happened, but he had lost his map. So instead, he hung out around the entrance to the Newbie Housing, hoping someone would walk by and let him follow.
