Bellflower had spent the morning organizing things in Wilderness, and helping to make sure their temporary medical facilities were adequately set-up. In the midst of it, as they began to receive reports from those working on the other floors that the storm had begun in earnest, and that the winds were picking up, she realized someone was missing. Cloud. He had been there earlier, helping them with supplies, but she had not seen him in the last hour. No doubt he had returned to one of the higher floors for something, but the weather was becoming dangerous, and she felt uneasy without word of his whereabouts.

After a few moments of indecision, she had a quiet word with one of the medics as to her destination, and then headed for the elevator herself to go track down her wayward 'brother'. She was glad she had opted for pants and sturdier shoes rather than her usual skirts as she exited the elevator onto one of the floating islands - the winds had most definitely picked up, whipping her braid around and making her feel less certain of her footing.

A quick check of Wellspring turned up nothing - the second place to check was his home, the Park. She made her way carefully across the bridges and through the Marketplace until she reached the vast expanse of green that was Captain Planet - looking a little worse for wear under the winds already.

Adashino had calmed as Cloud walked toward the bridge leading to the Bazaar, maybe understanding that Cloud was trying to carry him to safety. Good thing, too--he was too busy fighting off rising dizziness to wrestle with the cat.

The thought foremost in his mind was getting back to the elevator. With how bad it was getting up here, he didn't think that any shelter he found would last for long. He gritted his teeth against the pain as his injury throbbed, reminding him he needed medical help too, and he hunched his shoulders against the wind to protect Adashino from getting blown away. It was too damn bad there wasn't a bridge directly from Captain Planet to the Access Point, but Cloud was hoping he could make it going by way of Wellspring. It was much faster than going all the way across the Farm, but as another wave of dizziness crept over him, he wasn't sure it would be fast enough.

Within sight of the bridge, he stumbled over something--a tree root, his own feet, it didn't really matter at this point--and fell to one knee. Adashino yowled his displeasure; Cloud ignored him, fighting to stay conscious and unable to worry too much about the cat. He still had him in a secure grip, so as long as he didn't pass out they would both be ok.

He just had to stand back up and keep walking, before the wind finished the job the loose board had started.

The wind was picking up dirt and leaves, which made it difficult to see to, but as Bellflower scanned the Park, she saw a figure, familiar shock of white hair more obvious against the darker trees, fall to one knee. She picked up her pace as best she could while not losing her own footing. No doubt he had simply tripped on something, but with the winds tossing debris around, that was still dangerous. "Cloud-san! Are you alright?"

Cloud was struggling to get back to his feet, a process made almost impossible in this wind because he needed both hands to hold onto Adashino. The cat was getting nervous; he could feel his claws pricking him through his coat, in a dim, distant way. He tried to shift his grip on the cat a little, but he wasn't sure how well he'd succeeded. He knew he had to get up... he just had no idea how he would actually do that.

He didn't notice Bellflower at first, too distracted by bracing himself against the wind, but when she came within arms reach of him, he lifted his face to see who it was, blinking his good eye against the wind. His left eye felt like it had been stuck shut by the blood still dripping slowly from the cut above it; good thing he didn't need that one. He couldn't tell if his hair was still hiding that side of his face--probably not, in this wind--but at least she wouldn't be able to see his missing eye like this.

"Bellflower." Adding on the 'san' after her name seemed like too much work right now. "I..." He swayed in place as a strong gust of wind hit him, and was forced to put his other knee on the ground as another wave of dizziness washed over him at the same time. It was that or fall over, and he might hurt Adashino if he fell over.

Bellflower's eyes widened when she saw the drip of red on Cloud's forehead, and rushed over to his side when he went down on both knees, putting an arm around his shoulders as support. A head injury, it looked like - not good. It would explain his lack of coordination on the grass, though. She held up a finger on her free hand, several inches from his face. "Cloud-san, please try to focus on my hand," she said, voice calm and firm. There wasn't much she could do in the way of treatment here, but she needed to know how badly off he was to determine best how to move him.

Cloud was grateful for the support she lent him--it was getting harder to stay upright. He told himself it was just the wind getting worse, but it was a shaky lie at best.

When she held up her finger in front of his face he concentrated on it obediently, but his vision kept blurring, the finger fading in and out of focus. He frowned, then squinted, blinking to try and clear his sight. It didn't work.

Why was she making him do this? They had to go, it was too dangerous up here. "We have to leave, go to the Wilderness... isn't safe here..." Adashino mewled once, unhappily, and wiggled against Cloud's hands, trying to get a little further under Cloud's coat. He was not at all pleased by this, but apparently willing to go along with things if it meant he was being somewhat sheltered from the wind and the rain that was starting up.

Bellflower dropped her hand and frowned as she considered the situation. From the way he'd been squinting, she wasn't sure if he could stand right now, much less walk. And from the small, unhappy meow from underneath his coat, he had a cat with him, too - perhaps what he had come up to find. "I think... this will be easiest if I carry you on my back - though you may have to reposition the cat." He would be heavy, and doing it this way was harder than slinging him over over a shoulder, but she wasn't going to let the cat be left behind.

Cloud frowned again. Something about her carrying him wasn't right... shouldn't it be the other way around...? But that didn't make sense either. Why would he be carrying Bellflower?

He gritted his teeth as his head started to ache fiercely. He wondered vaguely if that meant the last of the adrenaline had just ebbed out of his system, or if there was something else wrong... but it was effective at dragging his wandering thoughts back to reality, at least.

"Nnngh... alright." With everything that was happening, Cloud didn't even think to argue with her about this. He shifted Adashino so he was tucked under one arm, leaving the other one free. He hoped the cat wouldn't try to squirm out of his now much less secure grip. Adashino made a rumbling sub-vocal complaint at the change in position, but didn't struggle.

After getting the cat settled as much as he could, Cloud put his free hand on the damp ground. Should he stand...? He might as well try. He pushed against the earth, trying to lever himself to his feet.

Bellflower shifted slightly, turning so her back was facing him, making it easier for him to climb on. A piggyback ride seemed like such an odd, childish thing to offer - but right now being able to carry Cloud is of rather dire importance to them both. "Hold on to my shoulders for support," she offered, in a calm, steady voice.

Abandoning his attempt to stand at her instruction, Cloud put his left hand on her shoulder. He... wasn't quite sure where to go from here... this would probably be easier if they were both standing. And if he wasn't having such a hard time thinking straight... without thinking, he shook his head sharply.

Bad move. He groaned softly, closing his eye to shut out the sight of his surroundings starting to spin a bit, and lowered his head to rest his forehead gently on Bellflower's back. He didn't pass out--he'd lose his grip on the cat if he did that--but he wasn't going to be able to do much of anything on his own until the pain in his head subsided.

Bellflower could feel Cloud lean up against her back - he was in bad shape, and the winds were slowly picking up. Forcing down her own worry, she kept her voice calm. "Rest your weight on my shoulders and back, and then I will lift you."

Without opening his eye Cloud moved closer, moving his left hand down so that his entire left arm was wrapped around her shoulders, just under her neck. Since his right arm was full of cat, it was the best he could do. Resting his weight on her was easy--it was the holding on part that was going to be a little tricky.

Bellflower pushed herself upright, using her legs entirely for the leverage, and wrapped her arms back around to her sides, to grab Cloud's legs just under his knees to get a better hold on him. Once she managed to stand up entirely she paused for a moment, to make sure he was well-settled.

His arm tightened a little as she pulled him upright, but he didn't react much other than that. Once she had his legs in a secure grip he managed to pull Adashino, and his right arm, into the space between his stomach and her back. The cat huddled miserably there, apparently grateful to be out of the wind and weather.

That out of the way, Cloud concentrated on holding on to Bellflower's shoulders, keeping track of Adashino, and not passing out.

Once she was certain Cloud was secure, she set off back towards the bridge, moving as quickly as she could while still watching her footing. It was tricky in the wind - but if she slipped or tripped, they would both be in very big trouble. Cloud wasn't too heavy to carry right now, but she knew that if they didn't move quickly, she'd start to tire.

Cloud rested his right cheek against Bellflower's shoulder, feeling helpless and dizzy. He could tell that she was moving, but he kept his eye shut for now. He didn't want to risk looking around until the dizziness subsided.

After a little while his curiosity overwhelmed his caution. He risked cracking his eye open and he lifted his head a little to look at where they were. The Bazaar, near the bridge to Wellspring... huh. He hadn't even noticed when she carried him over the bridge to the Bazaar from the Park. His eye slid shut on its own and he let his head thump down onto her shoulder again... it was too hard to hold his head up against the wind.
