He preferred not to waste time, and had already prepared for the day's wilderness excursion... he'd heard it wasn't exactly a friendly place this time, either. No problem; he wasn't one to shy away from a challenge, after all. He wouldn't bat an eyelash at another desolate wilderness.

Though he did mind the big, red horizontal bar someone had put upon his chest. He'd at first thought Arthur had scribbled on him as he slept in the coat closet... but it was showing brightly even through his clothes. Robot or otherwise, that didn't seem normal. ...At least, not a horizontal bar, and not in red.

But it didn't seem to do much of anything, so he could ignore it for the time being. Duty called, after all... though he found the humming and singing a bit harder to ignore as he strode past Locket's door, tugging on his white gloves as he peeked inside.

How could she always be so relaxed like that?

Her eyes drank in the scene: After nearly twelve chapters of 'Will they? Won't they?', the protagonists in the tale were finally making the plunge in admittedly flowery - yet well-written - ecstasy. Locket read on for a minute or two longer, but then felt as if she was being watched ( ... )

Locket might have caught the faintest smirk at her sudden response. Maverick was quick to return to normal, rolling his shoulders in a quick stretch before he noticed that bit of bluclank.

He'd felt that tug just as strongly as she, and before he could so much as raise hands to brace himself, he and Locket were pressed together. Thankfully they were no worse for the wear; admittedly, she left them with plenty for padding...

A quick shake cleared those idle thoughts from his head. He looked down at her, his face now marked by a baffled, furrowed brow. He tried to pull away, ease the pressure a bit... no luck. They were stuck fast.

"...This is one of those things, isn't it."

What the...!? Locket took hold of his shoulders and tried pulling herself away when he tried a good tug, but they didn't budge an inch. Okay, maybe she had butter fingers, let's try again! ... Yeah, that didn't work either ( ... )

Arthur had been reclining peacefully on his bed, decorating the cover of his journal with stick drawings of himself fighting ninjas when he heard a faint metallic clank sound coming from the direction of Locket's room.

Hadn't Maverick just gone in that direc...never mind. Arthur didn't think he wanted to know. As he sat there wondering if robots were even properly equipped for such things (he'd have to ask Light about it later), Arthur saw Locket and Maverick come into view through his open doorway.

"Oh, uh, hey, you guys. Don't worry, I didn't hear anything," Arthur stammered. Finally looking up, Arthur saw that they were walking sideways, awkwardly close together with Locket's arms on Maverick's shoulders as though they were trying to dance.

"Awww, is it group hug time?" Arthur asked, getting out of bed and heading towards them. "I didn't realize we got group hugs! Come here!" he said, walking up behind Locket and wrapping his arms around her.
