Summary: Things are settling in for the now-full house, the morning passing by as usual. Who knew all it would take are little pluses and minuses to throw that completely upside-down?

( What, you've never heard of a wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking Capcom katamari before? )

Her eyes drank in the scene: After nearly twelve chapters of 'Will they? Won't they?', the protagonists in the tale were finally making the plunge in admittedly flowery - yet well-written - ecstasy. Locket read on for a minute or two longer, but then felt as if she was being watched.

Her head in a daze, eyes unfocused from reading the small text, and a brush of color to her face over the past few pages' material, her head tilted backward. Upon sight of Maverick, there was a brief owlish blink, and her hand quickly closed the book, tossing it cover-down onto the bedstand. While she loved Mystery Writer's books, it was still a guilty pleasure...

It must have been time to head out, so she stretched, and stood to join him, running her fingertips over her cheeks as she returned to focus. "I'm sorry. I'm ready to go when you are."

She reached behind her to close her bedroom door, and a glimmer of blue caught her eye- a small, plus-shaped mark appeared upon her chest. Before she could breathe a word about it, a great force turned her to face Maverick.

With a quiet clank, they collided front to front.
