Summary: Things are settling in for the now-full house, the morning passing by as usual. Who knew all it would take are little pluses and minuses to throw that completely upside-down?
She had about fifteen minutes to kill, so maybe just one more chapter wouldn't hurt. Locket was usually pretty early, but she didn't want to mix up the payroll data with being superfluously punctual. Only vaguely keeping track of the time, she lay back upon her bed and held open a book, her inner playlist switching on. Ah, a favorite! She started humming along.
Was she a fan of Mystery Writer? Of course! Despite the rumors of 'mystery writer' sightings still floating around here and there, a new book still managed to reach the shelves around the same time every month. As much as Locket wanted a signed copy of her books, she'd have to live with this individual's anonymity.
The Navigator flipped the page, and the song was getting good... she couldn't help herself.
