The jolt of adrenaline in his veins was like an electric shock that knocked him into consciousness. For a few seconds, he blinked slowly before it even occurred to him that this was wrong, he was in something with the consistency of syrup, he shouldn't have been able to breathe. He suddenly felt claustrophobic, realized he didn't know if he'd ever been claustrophobic before, and shoved out his arms. The momentum of his swinging arms was lost in the viscous goo, but his fingers connected with the thin shell holding it in place.

He blinked in the light of the room, sitting in a pool of the strange fluid and realizing that it was actually cold and rather naked now that he wasn't in the womb-like thing. His blond hair was plastered down his neck, over both his eyes, and he pushed it out of the way, wiping goo off of his face and staring up toward a figure he thought he'd glimpsed when the egg broke apart

She was only half-asleep inside the encasement, unaware of the small prison she rested in or even the liquid she breathed until she broke out into the world outside.

She awoke the moment she hit the ground, finding herself in completely unfamiliar territory compared to that of her dream. It was bright, cold, and disgustingly wet and slimy. It took her a couple seconds of lying on the floor, shivering, before she could recover from the shock enough to push herself up and hack away the slime from her lungs.

She wasn't alone. There was man nearby, naked and choking like she was, and another figure just a little ways away. As for the evil presence that chased her in the night of her dream, she noticed it has disappeared, but she wasn’t sure if she should be relieved or not for its absence.

Iris just stared for a moment. Her mouth dropped open as she tried to speak, but she couldn't. She tried again, her eyes starting to screw up in frustration. And then...

"AAAAAHHH!" She threw one of the newborn supply bundles at the man before turning around. "I-I-I... I'm so sorry! M-my name is Iris, and y-you've just been born into Edensphere." She held the second bundle out behind her. "There's s-stuff in here for you, miss. A towel and clothes. P-please dress yourselves and I'll try to answer your questions."

She put both hands around herself now, hugging her arms. Calm down, calm down... The sooner you take care of all of this, the sooner he can be on his way.

He didn't even have time to react and stop the bundle from hitting him square in the face when he looked up. There was no way for him to know much, but there was something... peculiar about the girl's behavior. Girl. Like he was a man, and there was something shameful about all this, but he was barely stringing his thoughts together, let alone actually managing to understand what was so wrong. He took the bundle, shivering on the floor, and fumbled until he found the towel and started wiping the goo off his body methodically

Her wariness turned into more of something like amused concern after watching the poor guy get a bundle to the face. She accepted her own gratefully; besides the cold, she didn't quite mind the nakedness as much as the other two, but she respected their discomfort and politeness.

Quickly, she dried herself off and threw on the clothing, tugging at them unhappily. Picking up the towel again, she worked on squeezing any excess goo from her hair. "Yes yes, it's fine now Iris." She tried to speak as gently as she could to calm the panicking girl down. "Now, what's this you mentioned about an "edensphere"?"
