Iris peeked over her shoulder, relieved to see that the man had dressed himself. When she turned around, she played with her hair a little before answering.

"Ah... yes. Right. This is Edensphere. You've just been born - i-it's the same for everyone. You probably can't remember much... b-but you should have had a dream! Yes! A dream - a-a link to your past. Many newborns choose to, w-well..." She rotated her hand absentmindedly. "Use it to make a new name for themselves."

Her eyes snapped open when she remembered another thing. "Oh! A-a-and you're twins - b-brother and sister. You're very lucky."

He looked over toward the girl, his twin, and nodded to indicate that he understood, that he wasn't stupid--not that he'd ever been, he had a feeling, but nothing... There was nothing to back up any feelings he had about himself.

"The dream is normal, then?" he asked, following the girl's example and clearing the goo out of his hair. He didn't know what to think, a chill running down his spine knowing that it was real, some link to his past--that dream. If she'd said it was normal, it was normal, but he didn't know how he could possibly want to derive a name from an awful dream, with silver foxes and--

He shook off the moment and focused back on Iris, on something that seemed like a good thing. Everything was new and strange, including the idea of having siblings, whatever it would entail. "I... what does it mean to be twins here?"

She returned the gesture to the man, or the person who was now apparently her twin brother. It was odd. Her own interpretation of a twin was of someone who resembled herself, someone she was familiar with. This man had neither of those characteristics. Still, he was here, experiencing the same ordeals as she was; they were the same in that respect ( ... )

Iris nodded at June's explanation. "Yes, yes, s-something like that. Not everyone is born at the same time as someone else - the ~rarest~" She said the word with an awed whisper. "Is triplets."

Then she caught herself, blushed a little, and continued on. "B-but anyway - June, right?" She took out a small notepad and wrote it down, then replaced it in her pouch. "You'll need t-these..." She extended her hand first to June, handing over a map and journal. Then, tentatively, she extended her other hand to the man. Next, she pulled out two money pouches.

"This amount of coins should sustain you u-until you find a job, t-that is." She offered one pouch to each of them, her hand still shaking as it came closer to the yet unnamed man. She tried looking him in the eye. "O-outside of this Hall, there is a-a posting. T-there you can l-look for an open p-position. It changes, so..."

She looked away then - that was all she could take. "Y-your name, s-sir?" She inquired with as little quiver to her voice as she could manage.

He nodded immediately, not needing any further explanation. There was something compelling him to accept the notion of sticking close to her, something he couldn't explain, except that it seemed right to have a friend, a companion. A sister? Something like that. "Yes," he agreed finally. "I would like that."

His attention turned back toward Iris, who was still so skittish, and he didn't know how to deal with that. He was plainly making her nervous. Perhaps it would be best to speed things along, whatever stigma he carried removed from her presence, if it would make her more comfortable. And he still needed a name.

A name. He closed his eyes and shrugged, trying to think of anything that would work. Instead of focusing on a name, though, the memory of his dream flooded him again, leaving him feeling like he'd been dunked in ice water glinting with the same silver-sheen of the fox from his dream. A fox and a peach tree ( ... )
