"Yo ♥," he greeted. "Ya must be Alekhine. I'm Rabbit."

She needed the stool, mostly because she was rather short for a woman but also because the concept of being forced to stand all day just so that one 'looked busy' struck her as ridiculous. "You said small but I wasn't certain how small you wanted, so I made varying sizes."

"Hmm I wonder which'll look best. Whadda you think?"

If Rabbit was watching her face and not her fingers, he'd have seen the shift in color from blue to gold as she touched the larger pair of earrings, using her fingers to shrink them down a bit to an in-between size. When she let go, the earrings were finished. "There. I think those will work."

Naturally a stall with metal objects caught her attention as she passed by. Her eyes critically analyzed all the junk metalwork being displayed. It took her a moment to recognize the person behind the stall and when she did, she was so startled she almost dropped her pink shopping bag in shock.
"Oh!" She squeaked. "Its you!"
Clearly someone didn't pay enough attention to the journals.

Everything except the sudden change in eyecolor from green to brown as she set the small music box down.
"Good morning. I must imagine it is me, whom else would I be?"

"...By Oz. It is you!" There was shock--not glee, and surprisingly not hate--in her eyes as she stared back. "Miss Clé. My goodness! I hadn't realized you'd come back from the dead! You look the same too, not even a little bit...deadish. I was told it could happen but..."
She trailed off as a sudden thought came to her. "Has your friends reappeared as well?"

"It is not entirely uncommon, or so I am told, for those who have died here to return after a time. Though, as you said, you were also told." So why are you gawking, Bubbles?
"Which friends are these?

Tempest was cautious of where he was going and who was around him the whole time, taking care not to enter the elevator if there were any women or girls taking it. Crowded areas were a little harder to work with, so he figured a night trip to the Marketplace might work out better than during the daytime.
Having finished picking up a small stock of food groceries, he was exploring other stalls when he came upon hers. He gave a brief wave, cutting it short and nearly freezing up when he noticed the owner was female. He made sure to keep a healthy distance (to keep his phobia in check, at least) before starting, "Good evening. Might I ask what are services rendered and hours of availability at this particular stall?"

"The repair, rebuilding and creating of goods that are either completely or predominantly comprised of metal. I am here Monday through Friday from nine in the morning until noon and then again at three in the afternoon until six in the evening."

Just a little surprised. Not that it was hard for people to notice, but it was more like there were too many who found pleasure in tormenting him upon discovering his little phobia. Of course, he hadn't an inkling that she'd met with someone with similar circumstances who reacted in a far more dangerous manner ( ... )

While he took the stall and it's wares she returned to labeling the parts of the music box, with the intention of getting it to work again while also being able to replicate it on a larger scale.
She looked back up as he spoke and smiled a bit. "Thank you very much. As long as I have materials and either a firm idea or a diagram, I can make items here in the stall."

The two of them made quite the sight at the counter today; he, large and bald, making the final stitches on various articles of clothing, while she sat next to him, going over paperwork for the Guard. But she'd gotten hungry mid-afternoon, and decided to run out for a snack.
However, as she passed a previously unoccupied stall, she paused at a familiar and welcome sight. She changed course, weaving through the other shoppers and stopping with a relaxed, genuine smile.
"Alekhine," she said, her voice warm. "We've spoken over the journals--I'm Bastet." It was good to see her.

Still and yet.
"It is a pleasure to see you." Again, she thought, but the woman's mannerisms were much more familiar than actually seeing her. "How have you been?"

None of this showed; Bastet let nothing but dry amusement cross her face. "Ah, well," she murmured, quirking a wry grin. "My days are certainly full. But I'm getting by."
She let her eyes scan the stall's wares; it was all similar to the finely-made items she remembered Alekhine making the last time she'd been here.
She looked back at the other woman, a faint smile still on her lips. "But it's good to see you again. How are you settling in?"
Reply
"Better than can be expected I suspect." She smiled at Bastet in return, recalling something. An interesting life is a blessing and a curse, yes, and Alekhine had no doubt that Bastet's life at the moment was interesting. "While I cannot remember people and events from when I was here last, I can recall the general order of things. It has helped me acclimate."
