Summary: Kairi brings the antidote to unchibify Jing.
Warnings: Cute?
He wasn't sure whether to feel relieved or worried that things were going back to normal. On one hand, it would certainly be less of a challenge to deal with Jing when he wasn't a crazy sugar-high ball of energy. On the other hand, once they'd kept him away from the chocolate (and got him to stop stealing doorknobs) he'd actually been quite easy to look after, and besides that...
...he just seems happier this way...
Those had been Cassis' words and Aligoté agreed with them. With the exception of that odd incident between the boy and Kir (which had been absolved, however cutely), Jing had been all smiles throughout his whole transformation. He even spoke once or twice about his mother and seemed, at least quietly, okay with the situation. That was something completely new to all of them, and though disconcerting, it was still an improvement.
But they couldn't leave him like this. They all knew it, and so Aligoté was waiting for Kairi to bring the potion over which would reverse the effect of her first one. It was hard to remember why he'd even needed it in the first place. So much had happened.
Currently Jing was napping on his bed. He'd been trying to give Cassis and Kir a bit of a break in having to watch him, and felt guilty to ask Samus to help so much as the bounty hunter had already monitored him for several storytelling sessions. And in a bit of a selfish way, Aligoté just wanted to spend time with the child. It felt nice to just be a friend, just be "Agogo" (even if the nickname still made him cringe) instead of the strange alternate of his partner, one that had to be dealt with gingerly. This was easier for him, at least.
He would use his messenger to call for Cassis and Kir once Kairi had left, so that they could all be present when the effects wore off. But he was also curious to meet this potions master...
