It didn't take her long to get to find Ed's apartment. She looked worried about how things looked outside of the wall, but she didn't try to leave, she didn't know what was going to happen now, but they had 72 hours to prepare for whatever might happen. Ling was gone, leaving just the two of them as the only ones from their world left. They would make it through this.

When she arrived, she didn't bother to knock on the door. "Brother?" She called out, stepping inside.

"Hey, Alice," Ed greeted as he turned and set down his chalk. He waved her in and gestured to the couch. "And then there was two," Ed mused grimly. Just two from Amestris and a world with alchemy. It was kind of a lonely thought, but at least they weren't completely alone.

"It's weird to think that Ling really is gone, isn't it? I keep expecting him to climb through the windows or something," he said with a half smile. "You want anything? I have water and...water. No, wait! I do have a box of tea if you'd like that."

"We shared a room together. He didn't have a lot of things, but they're all gone." She looked down at her hands for a moment before looking over at this version of her brother. "Water is fine."

Her attention then turned to the experimental arrays drawn on the walls. She walked over to one, taking a look at it for several minutes, her mind trying to work out the symbols and how they would work together.

"Sure thing." Ed ducked into the kitchen and returned quickly carrying two mugs of water. He handed one to Alice and began explaining the arrays ( ... )
