"Sure thing." Ed ducked into the kitchen and returned quickly carrying two mugs of water. He handed one to Alice and began explaining the arrays.
"So the array you're looking at was for deconstructing the Obex. I got some of the cuffs you guys had to wear from Faye Valentine. She thought they and the wall were made of the same stuff. I tried to determine their composition but couldn't come up with a damn thing...so I guessed...and was wrong," he gave the lines of chalk a dirty look. "Doesn't matter anyway since the wall's gone now."
"Then over here," announced Ed as he turned Alice to face the opposing wall, "is something I thought could be used against those Entropi lightning attacks. Skuld and Fayt came up with this weapon that will hopefully take their energy and use it against them. So I thought if they can absorb that energy with their weapon, we should be able to diffract it by manipulating the atmosphere with our alchemy." He peered closely at one of the equations, smudged it out and wrote in something else. "Problem is, I've no idea how to test it safely to know if it really works."
"And lastly," he said pointing to the far wall. "We have the Colonel's array for flame alchemy."
"The only way to test the array is in a fight." She said, listing to him explain things as she looked at the Array. "It would be risky, but unless you want to test the weapon and the alchemy by bothering the Keepers, the only way is to wait and see what happens. It looks like it could work. Though it would be good to have some of these arrays etched into the ground just in case so that we don't have to draw them." They'd have to do it tonight in strategic places around the compound just in case.
She then turned her attention to the flame alchemy array. She had never gotten to take a good look at it.
Ed snorted. "Tease the Keepers? I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy." He followed Alice over to the flame alchemy array. "That's a good idea though, to etch out arrays. Near the clinic, the apartments, the offices...I'm not sure where else. I imagine Sylvanas Windrunner will establish a headquarters of sorts at some point since she's organizing people to fight, but where I don't know. It will probably need one too." Ed absently tapped the wall with and automail finger and turned to the other alchemist.
"Er, Alice. I hadn't had much of a chance to tell you before now, but I've signed up with Sylvanas. I didn't know if you had too."
