Helena was scared out of her wits but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't talk herself out of doing this. That picture enabled The Princess to come back and forth as she may well please if Helena came too close and an occasional flip flop could easily be handled but when The Princess came back to save the Joker from his trial Helena knew that it had to stop. Her stubborn personality and absolute need to see that good triumphed over evil any and every day of the week forced her to pursue this crazy idea...
She was going to the fairly abandoned and crumbling office building. She was nervous, anxious. She was not scared but not in the same sense of the word. She wasn't afraid of the Joker. He didn't scare her at all. She was concerned when it came to what he was capable of but she did not fear him. A strange and familiar feeling in her gut told her that he would not ever really hurt her... or kill her at least. Bury her under ground, play with her head, try and manipulate her some how... she believed that he might try something along those lines, but physically she did not fear for her well being. It was, instead, the fear that if she left, having to run through the Warden's playground, the universe would snatch her away and replace her with the Princess. The Princess had been getting away with a lot of things lately and one day she was going to have to pay the piper.
Helena, threw on the Doctor's coat, tied her pants oversized pants around her waist, shook out her pajama shirt to try and get all the charcoal dust off of herself, then wrapped Cissie's scarf around her neck and slid her gloves on over her hands. She probably had on more layers than she needed, but she didn't mind. She looked around the room, wondering if she had anything to use to protect her just in case her gut was lying to her. Not a thing... and it probably didn't matter. Preston had fired a gun in her face and she was still alive... she'd probably make it out alive from having her visit with The Joker, too.
Helena left the church, shutting all doors behind her and snuck up and down as many back alleyways that she could, attempting to avoid the main streets and roads where the Warden might be out. She could hear the occasional blasts coming from nearby. They got louder as she neared the old office buildings. When she reached the office building she looked around, explosions coming from the front, she could hear and see. She ran up to a busted-in window in the rear of the building and climbed through. It was closer to her than an actual door and she wanted to get inside as quickly as possible.
When she stepped in her feet crunched down on broken glass and dust filtered into the air. She looked around, listening for any noise in side, debating on calling on the Joker or just going to look around.
".. Hullo?" she whispered softly into the darkness.
