Summary: Inara decides to go exploring on her own (Hoping to meet people.)

Ryou was in the corner of the park he usually enjoyed sorting his cards in. That was what he was doing right now, his hands expertly going through them. He heard a faint trill and slightly smiled; Cyber Phoenix was there. As far as he could be certain, his partner was quite pleased with recent events between himself and Yusuke. That made Ryou himself pleased...even more so, because he had enjoyed those events himself.

Another trill, and the sound of footsteps, alerted him to something else: someone was walking by. It wasn't Fubuki; Fubuki would have already pounced him. He glanced up just to see who it was. It was no one he recognized, a strange woman. But given his own reclusive tendencies, it would perhaps have been more surprising if he had recognized them.

Cat was in a tree, and the tree was in the ground. The world was right-side-up and Cat had come to realize that this was always the case in a dull real life.

As if in rebellion, Cat was sitting upside down on a tree branch, flicking his tail this way and that. You could things if you were a Cat fashioned out of a girl's imagination.

It was then that he noticed the woman leaning against his tree, down--up?--below.

Well here was another new stranger, dressed as pretty as a princess but with no place in the deck. Where then, would she fit? Here, in Econtra? Cat did not know. He certainly found it a strange, silly thing, stuck in a place that wasn't here nor there, but halfway in between and not being able to get out.

Cats weren't made for cages, after all. He padded closer, fur rippling as if in a brisk wind, but shifting rapidly through a series of blues and greens before settling back into gray. "Here, there, all around... what is working seeing, what have you found?"

Inara shook her head, a quick jerk to toss some of the curls from her face as a light breeze brought a few lockes to obscure her view. The action seemed insufficient, however, and a delicate hand rose to tug her hair over a shoulder. She licked her lips, sighing as she remembered a warning that had been given to her ( ... )

(Ooc: Um O.o; I'm still extremely new to LJ rp, so.. I am not entirely sure? I was hoping more people would join eventually, but it appears that's not going to happen lol What do you suggest?)

Her smile widened when the cat moved close and rubbed against her palm. She let her hand glide gently along its fur, still in complete amazement at having seen it change colors. She wondered if it would change colors while she was petting it ( ... )

Ryou nodded slightly at Inara's question. Small talk had never been his forte, but it was a general enough question that he could answer it. "And you?"

He glanced then at the Cat. "I seem to generally get the luck that I need...which is not always what I want." Which was so very true. He would never have imagined the turns his life had taken from some of the duels that he'd lost, or won.
