So this human was her opponent? She shrugged lightly, stepping into the ring that she created. "I'll be your opponent." She said. She didn't look like much, not even five feet tall (not including her spiky hair). She didn't have her cloak on and her katana was still sheathed and tied to her belt. "I am Hiei."

Re: OU!Shadow The Hedgehog VS OU!Kelly rabbit_on_speed October 2 2008, 00:29:16 UTC
What had she gotten herself into this time? It was so silly to get into little fights like these, but it'd been some time since she'd been able to train. Smirking a little Kelly stretched a bit, working out a few little kinks and took her little side of the arena. Hopefully her opponent would prove interesting for her.

Weapons or no she could still bare-fist fight and get through by using that. "Well, this better prove interesting..."

Never one to be late, Shadow strode forward to meet his opponent at the appointed time, an unreadable expression on his face. In reality, he was bored. The more time he spent in this awful compound, the more bored he grew. There were so many better ways to use his time than sit around, prisoner to some not-quite-human who rarely showed his face. At least the last two times he'd been held, his captors had had the decency to put him into stasis. A half-century of nothing to do surely would have driven him insane ( ... )

This place had made it to where she had learned to not be freaked out by anything anymore, well, this was a little bit of a special occasion. "And here I thought I'd be fighting a human opponent, well, this should be fun!" Her voice held a happy tone to it, more than eager to get this show on the road. It'd been some time since she'd had an unarmed with no armor spar.

"And you must be Shadow, just a warning... Might want to watch out, I hit harder than you think." A fair enough warning, she wasn't going to outright tell him what she was. That would give away her little bit of edge, well, maybe.

Re: OU!Zuko VS Ou!Feather thelast_feather October 2 2008, 00:32:29 UTC
Feather alighted in the arena, her sword in one hand. She'd forgone her armor - it was against the rules, after all - and was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. The ordinary clothes looked strangely out of place on an angel.

She waited quietly for her opponent. This ought to prove interesting.

Zuko showed up to the area donning the clothing that he'd arrived in the compound in. They were the easiest to move around in when fighting, which was why he'd worn them when he left the Fire Nation in the first place. He hadn't planned on sitting around, doing nothing when he left to join the Avatar, even though he had ended up doing a lot of that prior to being pulled here due to the young airbender's lack of motivation and focus. That an issue he intended to fix, should the boy ever show up here or he get sent back to his own world. He chose to bring his twin doa, rather than the katana Azula had given him, as he could use the latter pair of blades blindfolded and half asleep if he had to ( ... )

Feather's own golden eyes met her opponent's. He looked like a child, but she wasn't about to underestimate him. She lunged, trying to use her superior strength to finish the battle quickly. She was confident that she had superior strength - she'd never met any human who could match an angel in that regard.

Re: OU!Alma Rar VS OU!Li Meilin cynicalmeilin October 4 2008, 03:29:41 UTC
Meilin stepped into the ring in one of her black Chinese dresses, a small smile on her lips. It's been at least three years since she'd last participated in a tourney and while she knew this one in econtra would likely be nothing like anything she'd ever been in back home, she was still excited. If nothing else, the fights would be good exercise.

Jogging in place, she waited for her opponent to come up to the ring.

Meilin smiled back at the taller girl. She'd never seen a blue-skinned woman before but some of Sakura's Cards had the weirdest skin colors and appearances that it didn't really daunt her.

"Yes!" she answered, loud and clear, placing her palms on her lap and bowing low before falling into an initial stance. Having been told that the only weapons allowed for the tourney were swords, the girl had left her gauntlet and steel-tipped boots in her dorm and was going to fight bare-handed.

Re: OU!James "Sawyer" Ford VS OU!Mai packratsawyer October 2 2008, 02:16:19 UTC
As far as Sawyer was concerned, this whole tournament thing was no more than a way to pass the time in jail; something he had never tried to deceive himself into thinking Econtra wasn't. Hell, he'd gotten into boxing last time he was in prison a few years back, and was kind of surprised something like this hadn't happened before. No guns? Alrighty then. Made things more interesting anyways.

Mai was here for one reason and one reason only. She enjoyed fighting. It would be a good way to get over the boredom of this place, so she signed up for the tournament. She walked onto the arena, seemingly unarmed. The important word was seemingly. In reality, she had several knives and sharpened sticks hidden in her clothes. Of course, those were cheap steak knives and were likely to break before doing any serious damage, and probably wouldn't do anymore damage than her knives dulled, but at least they would pierce cloth.

And usually that's all she needed. She looked her opponent up and down. "I hope you're more of a challenge than you look." She said in her usual bored tone. He looked maybe like one of the grunts than a real challenge.

Sawyer raised an eyebrow, the expression accompanied by a typical cocky smirk. "Hell, thanks for the vote of confidence, sweetheart." The smirk didn't fade as he eyed her with the quick, assessing gaze of a con who knew to look for details. Looked like she had a hidden weapon or two, though he couldn't get an accurate count. Kind of an important thing to keep in mind though. And, yeah, she might be half his age but she wasn't going to show up here if she couldn't pack a punch.

"So what, we just gonna be all fancey or we just gonna do this the good old-fashioned way and start hittin' each other?" He asked with another smirk.
