What had she gotten herself into this time? It was so silly to get into little fights like these, but it'd been some time since she'd been able to train. Smirking a little Kelly stretched a bit, working out a few little kinks and took her little side of the arena. Hopefully her opponent would prove interesting for her.

Weapons or no she could still bare-fist fight and get through by using that. "Well, this better prove interesting..."

Never one to be late, Shadow strode forward to meet his opponent at the appointed time, an unreadable expression on his face. In reality, he was bored. The more time he spent in this awful compound, the more bored he grew. There were so many better ways to use his time than sit around, prisoner to some not-quite-human who rarely showed his face. At least the last two times he'd been held, his captors had had the decency to put him into stasis. A half-century of nothing to do surely would have driven him insane ( ... )

This place had made it to where she had learned to not be freaked out by anything anymore, well, this was a little bit of a special occasion. "And here I thought I'd be fighting a human opponent, well, this should be fun!" Her voice held a happy tone to it, more than eager to get this show on the road. It'd been some time since she'd had an unarmed with no armor spar.

"And you must be Shadow, just a warning... Might want to watch out, I hit harder than you think." A fair enough warning, she wasn't going to outright tell him what she was. That would give away her little bit of edge, well, maybe.

The hedgehog gave a derisive snort and folded his arms. Of course she'd expected a human; humans always did. Her 'warning' was laughable as well. No matter how well-prepared she was, she would have to actually hit him before she could do anything at all. Given how he could bend time and space around him to suit his desires, that would be an awfully hard thing for her to do.

"After you, then." He figured he might as well give her a chance. If he moved first, and without warning, the fight would be over almost immediately.
