Characters: OU!Melaka Fray, OPEN Where: The Grounds in general (All over) When: Night Summary: Mel goes a-patroling. Who does she run into? Only the shadow knows.... Warnings: Anything could happen.
After a short while, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She was being followed...but it wasn't a lurk. More importantly, it wasn't Harth. On a whim, she began scaling the nearest wall, using pits and large cracks in the wall as toeholds. She'd slipped once...no, twice, but made it to the room, running as quietly as possible, before dropping down to the alley below. She moved around to the corner of the next building, stopping there and shallowing her breath, so it was very hard to hear.
Alice was used to climbing crevices and ledges: boiling lava right under you made you exceptionally careful and quite skillful at that sort of thing. What was more, her training with Leonaidas had certainly helped in scaling. She would have approved of his obstacle course, but sadly, that was not to be.
Still, trailing this person was fun, and she could see, after a minute, that she was hiding out of sight. This was also familiar to Alice: she too had to be an exceptional hider, for rooks and boojum were a rather beastly sort of thing to run into. She was quiet on her feet, however, and searched quietly.
Melaka moved, very, very slowly, to start up the next building, making only the tiniest noise. She was thankful that her scythe didn't bounce off the wall or make any sort of rattling noise as she went, for it would give her away.
When she reached the roof, she crossed it quickly, making her way to the furtherest former air conditioning unit, then sat down, waiting for her stalker.

Ahsoka, while glad to have quarters that weren't shared with other hopeful soon-to-be Padawans or Clone Troopers who smelled like they hadn't bathed in weeks, she was a little tired of staying in it. Part of the excitement of leaving the Jedi Temple to fight in the war and finally being assigned to a master for training was getting out into the world and being able to see it. Being out and about, adventuring and enjoying the out doors--not sitting within the walls of some building as she'd done for the past fourteen years of her young life.
She sat now, dressed in her usual Jedi regalia, cross-legged on a rock with her hands resting lightly on her knees. Her eyes were closed as she concentrated, deep in one of the meditative forms that Master Yoda had taught her and the other Initiates in her age group before she'd left Coruscant to be with Sky Guy. Before here.
Meditation helped her forget all that, helped her relax. And hopefully, she'd be able to do just that instead of getting questions asking just what she was or if her

She'd finished the back wall, deciding on skirting around the graveyard and doing the other line of buildings on her way back to Sor-Epta. The Vampire Slayer decided to scope out the park, figuring it would be the fastest, but also the most dangerous, what with the open spaces and all. Anything could pop down and attack her, most importantly her twin.
A small growl curled its way up Melaka's throat as she stepped onto the grass, boots not making a sound. Harth enjoyed making her life miserable and he wasn't shy about informing her of it. She saw the treeline and the hammock Duo had hung there and she grunted softly, stopping herself from abandoning her post and going to relax.
While Melaka was good at not making a sound, she was doing nothing to mask her presence within the Force and Ahsoka felt her nearing before the slayer came within the young Togruta's view. She wasn't yet skilled enough to be able to tell the species of the person just by the aura of their Force signature, but assumed it was a human. The compound was full of them, after all.
She pulled out of her meditative state and rose to stand on top of the rock, peering out curiously at the person she could now see approaching, but didn't say anything.
Fray saw movement out of the corner of her eye and her hand moved to the scythe, slipping it from its sheath and tightening her grip on the handle. She moved between the trees, seeing the shape on top of the rock up ahead and to the left. It was smaller than Harth, and she didn't get the willies, so she knew for sure that it wasn't her twin.
For all she knew, this was some new person and she'd scared the life outta them with the scythe drawn. But she didn't put it away, 'least not yet.
Duo wandered through the street, yawning as he was rather bored. He'd needed some air as Lister was experimenting with a new recipe that was peeling the paint off the walls again.
Plus, the apartment just seemed uncomfortable to him now that Hilde was gone.
He rubbed the back of his neck as he walked, a pair of nearly silent footsteps down the alley next to him causing him to pause. He glanced down into the darkness, slipping silently into his own shadow. There weren't many people that could do that.
She'd made her way around the far corner of the building, practically hugging it like a second skin but not so much that her scythe would scrape against it. She half-paid attention to her surroundings, distracted by the thoughts swirling around in her head. The night after she decided to leave the apartment, she'd spent some time with the short-haired Duo up on the roof and he seemed off, different. Then once he'd gone downstairs first, Harth had made his appearance and dipped that little thought of 'Maybe he's bored with you' into her mind and damn it all if she still cared what Harth thought. Even though she'd lie and say she didn't.
And maybe Duo was bored with her. She was way older than he was now, thanks to her six months back in Haddyn. A seventeen year old's gotta be growing bored with the twenty-one year old getting all grown up-like. Rutting hell! Shut up! Mel mentally shouted to the swirling voices in her head.
The dim light silohuetted the outline of her weapon, a rather distinctive looking blade the pilot recognized as Mel's. He smiled a bit and moved so she could see him.
"Hey," he said softly, not wanting to startle her too much and get accidentally spiked with the not-as-sharp-as-it-should-be end. If she was patrolling, she'd probably be on alert. He'd startled Heero out of 'mission mode' enough times t know that was a dangerous proposition.
Mel started then breathed a small chuckle and placed her hand over her heart. "Jesu, Evil Dee. Ring a bell when you're gonna startle a girl. What brings you out?" She asked.
It was odd. He was the mirror image of her Dee. Stop saying that. He's not yours. But there wasn't any shiver of want at the sound of his voice. Well...not a big one. It disappated quickly when she'd seen the long hair.

"Thanks Yamato," Garurumon growled, and took off at a easy lope. With the heat during the daytime, it was cooler to stay as Gabumon while the sun was out, but the night time was more than cool enough for Garurumon to stretch his legs. He missed running with his partner, but Yamato had more important responsibilities to watch over Piemon than to ride with him. He padded his way to the park, keeping it at an easy pace just to warm up.

The Vampire Slayer patrolled the park, seeing the smallish, maybe two and a half foot creature making its way across the park. She'd never seen it before and it concerned her. There weren't any animals in Econtra, were there? Mel frowned a little and she quickened her pace a little, trying to get a better view of it. Didn't look like any sort of animal she knew, course, lots of species had died out before she was born on Haddyn.

{{OOC: FYI, Garurmon's a bit bigger than a horse. He's used to being ridden like one.}}
Garurumon paused at the entrance to the park, and stretched lazily, letting out a yawn. He could sense someone following him, but he wasn't too worried about being attacked. He shook himself all over, and said, casually, "Who ever's following, it's okay to come closer. I'm not gonna attack."
"Kinda causes a gal to worry when a big-ass wolf-horse thing can talk," Melaka replied, sticking to the shadows. She hadn't unsheathed her scythe yet, but her hand was itching to grab a hold of it.
