The Rumor had no intentions of joining, none whatsoever. But still. That didn't mean she couldn't have a little fun here while it lasted and she needed something to do between the coats of paint drying on the walls of her new office.

Slicking back her blue hair with a hand, Rumor sauntered over to the tables, knowing full well that this was where it was all going down. Not hard to tell, what with the dorky symbol and all. Her Umbrella was a lot cooler in her opinion, but she was clearly biased.

With a smirk, flashing teeth, she addressed Live Wire, "Not late, am I, babe?"

And the Rumor did not leave a particularly strong impression on anyone besides LiveWire, who she appeared to be flirting with. This would not bode well-immediate argument, Brainy predicted as he observed the woman from his place near the three offering shade from the sun's glare. He analyzed her carefully, casting a glance to the others as they arrived.

"Right on time." LiveWire replied. Leaning his chin against his robotic palm, and elbow against the table. He caught Brainy looking, but with the grave expression on the other's face? Probably had some opinions about Rumor. It was probably for the best, they had never actually done a Audition with a crop of applicants who all had effective powers. No Color Kid or Porcupine Pete this round. It was probably why LiveWire finally agreed to it.

That and Brainy always seemed to know what was going on ahead of time.

That green kid was looking at her funny. Rumor had to try hard not to laugh, finding it amusing. She supposed she hadn't made the best of impressions on anyone there yet, what with the whole Dr. Horrible thing and then turning Lyle's hair meet, but come one. It was cool.

Cocking a hip to the side, placing a hand on it, the other fiddling with locks of short blue hair, she shot a smirk over at Brainy before turning her attention back to Live Wire. Her? Trying to seduce him? Never! "So this all you have for your little auditions?"

As always, Persephone was out at the park as soon as the sun rose, but she had stayed away from all of the setting up going on. She would have offered a hand, but she was an applicant after all and those poor burnt trees took precedence. They were doing much better these days, though, which pleased the goddess to no end, even if she hadn't been able to save a couple of them. It was the little victories that counted, though, she kept telling herself.

Once things looked like they were in order, the goddess, decked out in the training gi Robin had gotten for her rather than the usual robes, ambled her way over, fiddling with the seed pouch at her belt, nervousness twisting in her stomach. Persephone didn't expect much to come out of this other than to make a fool of herself, but if she tried, that was something, at the very least.

She can grow plants faster- Now where had LiveWire heard that before? He had a feeling that this was either going to be really really really bad or really good. He was trying not to have bias, not to be effected by what he knew. But the memories of chlorophyll kid was coming to mind.

That was probably the single handed worst audition he'd ever sat through. Now considering this was a different place and she was a god? Maybe this would be different. Maybe it would be the best display of .. Whatever it was he'll ever see. Ever.

He hoped so.

Thankfully, being a goddess gave Persephone a million more cool points. Besides, she had been practicing ever since she had signed up on the audition notice, working to bend the brambles to her will and getting the trees to wail on her opponents. With a small pang of sadness, she regretted that she wasn't more powerful at her current stage -- being able to turn someone's blood into flowers or into a tree would have been a cool thing to have in her arsenal for this thing ( ... )

Brainy observed the flora erupting from the ground, a tweak of his features was all the clue she had to his impression of her. He gazed on her with his robotic eyes, indifferent, studying her, analyzing her. "You're fine." Brainy said.

"Persephone, was it? If you'd like to give a demonstration of your powers? How you can use it in combat or to counter act the Entropi or the more nefarious residents of Econtra?"

Robin watched from the shadows as the League representatives set up. Four of them now -- that was nearly his entire team. It -- didn't seem fair somehow. But if the Consulo had seen fit to bring so many of the Legion to econtra, they obviously had something to offer. Right now, Robin was trying to work out what that was.

He saw more immediate benefit to the compound from the training sessions organised by Master Chief and Kelly, which focused on exchange of knowledge. So maybe there was something more to the Legion's plans that would only become apparent later?

Persephone stepping forward to try out made Robin blink. He hadn't been expecting that -- and after a moment, he hopped down from his vantage point to join the others before the tables. Maybe -- maybe it was the challenge?

Brainy was since informed about Karate Kid's entrance into the legion, and to say he was impressed was a slight understatement, Robin, on the other hand, was legend, despite the limited historical records on him. There were always snippets, but mostly about Nightwing, The Titans, the Outsiders, his adult exploits. Whatever Robin's intent here to join, it would be impressive. His Detective skills were matched only by his skills as a combatant.

Perhaps there wouldn't even need to be a display, rather a few questions.

"Hey Robin." Lyle called cheerfully, hoping his welcoming disposition would distract from his very pink hair. The white skull cap he had requested days earlier was now covering as much of the unnatural color as possible, but a lot managed to escape and he was doing his best to pretend not to see the bangs just on the edge of his vision. He had been hoping the teen would consider trying out.

"Brainy," Robin nodded, acknowledging the Coluan's attention with all the formality the situation dictated. Lyle's greeting however produced a wide grin. All Robin said however, was "I see things are beginning to get busy."

Dick Watched the Tryouts as he leaned up against one of the trees, he had to admit some of the applicants were more than impressive. He hadn't planned on trying out but Tinya persuaded him enough to at least come to watch. After a while he had given into her request and had immediately been dragged off to 'Watch' the tryouts. Somehow he knew he wasn't going to be just 'watching' for long if she had anything to do with it.

Brainy had said himself that to be in the legion required powers, something he lacked in the Metahuman tense. Though His titans had Speedy among their ranks as well as himself two teens at the time who fought on Skill alone and who'd later become the Red Arrow and Nightwing. With all the Skill related talent It seemed a waste to turn someone like Robin, Tim, or even Heero away.

From her perch at the table, Tinya took a moment to give a wide grin and wave pointedly at Dick. The smile on her face was not outwardly scheming, but it did have a tinge of amusement that bordered on suspicious.

"How you doing over there?" She called and leaned her head on her palms. "Bored at all?" There was a tease in her tone, but Tinya herself seemed to be fascinated by the Econtrians that had appeared so far.

" I'm Fine.." Dick replied in a huff from his perch against the tree, he frowned at the teasing tone of her voice" Its interesting.." Walking closer to the table he leaned on another tree so she wouldn't have to yell to him to continue her teasing and taunting or whatever she had planned.

There was somethings suspicious about that smile she was directing towards him, she was scheming and he knew it. Saying nothing about it he folded his arms over his chest and sighed he could have been keeping himself busy elsewhere..ok maybe not but she was planning something for him and that was never good.

"You know, it would be much more fun for you if you tried out." She said offhandedly, pointedly tossing her hair over her shoulder. While she returned her gaze to the mingling applicants, her words were only pointed towards Dick.

Then, slow and with a tone that just screamed I'm trying to tempt you, Tinya rolled her shoulders and spoke. "You might even get a flight ring out of it."

Naoki wasn't one to be nervous. He'd seen and killed more things than most people would ever see in their life, and not even the biggest, nastiest Troll had brought a shaking to his knees. So, why was this audition thing doing it? He'd even taken the initiative to put on a shirt today, though it was more out of trying to hide himself than to look presentable, even if it did help. The Demi-Fiend's striped fingers toyed with one of the buttons as he approached, slightly concerned that just standing there with his arms hanging would look stupid.

The previous incident with Brainiac hadn't helped ease that tension, either. Yes, he was fine now, and yes, he had someone to vouch for him, but it didn't change what had happened. Honestly, he wouldn't trust himself right now, either. He said he was going, though, and didn't plan on backing down. Maybe this was how he could make up for all that. It was more than worth a shot.

Tinya lifted her head from where it had been leaning against her cocked wrist. Fixing her posture with a grace natural to women her age, she drew in her legs and ran her gaze over their next applicant. The kid was obviously a little nervous.

"Hey now, relax kid. We're not going to toss you into the Phantom Zone or anything." Tinya smiled, hearing something to her left that sounded distinctly like Lyle letting his face meet his palm.

Despite the outward forbidding nature of his appearance; the tattoos, golden eyes and overall sense of deadly skill, there was something about his mannerisms that gave away something obviously amiable. She hoped his power display would be interesting...

"Phantom Girl." Lyle pressed pointedly, trying to seem imposing and chiding despite sitting backwards in his chair, looking rather immature compared to the 23 year old. The whole idea was to make sure their applicants were relaxed, not discuss throwing them into a jail in a dimensional rip where its occupants were locked in a non-corporal molecular state.

Still, seeing Naoki try out would be interesting, fun even. The teen lowered his head to rest on his arms, folded over the back of his chair. A small encouraging grin tugging at his expression.

He smiled mutedly towards the two Legionnaires, though his fingers never left the circular smoothness of the shirt button. It felt like an alright thing to do for the moment, and- until it was his turn- all he really had to do. Besides, he'd never heard of the Phantom Zone. Sounded bad, but nothing about it rang 'otherworldly prison vortex' to the Demi-Fiend. Not yet, anyway.

Still, he did have to at least make an attempt at relaxing. It had been what he could only assume was months- maybe a year- since he'd used his powers under stress and while nervous. They weren't exactly the most cooperative things in the world during times like that, and he didn't want to wind up accidentally attacking one of the Legionnaires. That wouldn't look too great on his record; moreso when it'd only be added on to his previous offenses.
Naoki took a deep breath, willing himself to stop being so tense. It wouldn't be that bad, surely.
