[ENTROPI] The Attack (ALL Chars)

Mar 27, 2008 04:04

It had arrived in the same manner as its birth, the massive discharge of energy still smoldering the crater formed where the strike connected with the ground. Twisting and pulsing, its contained form was immediately aware of the pitiful organic creatures surrounding it, trapped like insects in a too-small hive.

It released a high-pitched roar and ( Read more... )

The calm before the storm indeed. The sky lightened slightly and she breathed a sigh of relief, and then suddenly...

Alexiel had never seen anything like this before. Pure energy and reckless killing and the scent of burnt flesh filled the air. One moment nothing and this - She sprinted to one of the fallen's side and murmured a quiet prayer for their souls. Too burned. Even Raphael couldn't have healed them.

She drew Nanatsusaya, dug in her heels, and swung the seven-bladed sword at the orb - Entropi, the Warden said. The enemy. And because of it these poor souls were dead.

It was impossible to tell if there was a front or back to this glowing orb, and yet it seemed almost to turn and meet Alexiel's attack. The sword swiped through the orb, encountering no resistance save a brief whisper in the air, as though it were thicker there than around it.

The Entropi retaliated, using the sword as a conduit -- a literal lightning rod -- to deliver a strike back into Alexiel's body.

Alexiel staggered back as the orb sent an unbelievable amount of energy right back at her - an energy that she had never encountered before. She drove the sword into the ground to dissipate the excess energy and also to serve as a crutch; as much as she hated to admit it she was shaken by the power it displayed.

Materializing her wings, she called a ball of fire and threw it in the orb's general direction. If physical offense didn't work maybe magic will. She saw the other's spells didn't work but she was Alexiel and she knew that she had more control of the elements than anyone else.

There were already people gathered around that freaky thing when Michael got there, weapons and magic flashing in deadly arcs. One he noticed in particular was Alexiel's - that seven-bladed sword of hers, enchanted in some way to make sure everything it hit fell to the ground in a spray of blood if she wanted it to. And she definitely did right now, judging by that look she had on her face. A strange look...there was something creepy about it. Icy bloodlust - paralyzing as any demon's gaze...

Hey, did her sword just go through the thing? Fucked up. Lucky he hadn't brought his own; Michael glanced down at the sword of fire he held, the edges burning white. Around the blade swirled brighter flames, somehow tinted with red like blood. Like his eyes right now. Aeon flames - powerful energy stabilized for the time being. Awesome. His hours of practice had paid off ( ... )

Wufei limp-hopped from Dor's entrance way and skittered to an ungraceful stop to stare at the glowing orb that was their enemy. Her hand tightened on her bokkan for a moment as she stood staring in shock.

They were meant to fight that?

Her sword was on her back, her wooden blade in hand. She had only just avoided the lightning that crackled through the building, mashing her knee against an errant chair in the process.

Movement caught her eye and she glanced left to see Quatre stumble from Loh, arm bleeding, eyes determined. "Winner!" she shouted, pivoting and running for him, knee forgotten for the moment.

Trowa had left his room after a quick message to Heero, intending to follow through what his message had said about checking up on Quatre. He saw the blonde as he neared Loh, but not the girl that was supposed to be their Chinese pilot in another dimension. He did hear her when he called out to Quatre however ( ... )

All this waiting had been so fucking worth it. Sex was nothing compared to this ecstasy, and it had been building for what seemed like ages, and now was finally the time for release.

Sanity? What was that? None of it left in the mind of this Dog. His collar shocked him to life and flooded his mind with the most intense desire for pure violence. He wanted to rip and tear and crush and explode and who cared if it wasn't human or if it killed him in the process. There was no better way to die than to go down in the beautiful act of slaughter.

He was standing on the roof of one of the dormitories, panting heavily between laughs with drool running down his chin. Absolutely feral. "BRING IT, BABY~!" he shrieked, tossing his head back. "THAT'S HOW I LIKE IT!"

He laughed again and then dove for the thing, hands curled like claws. Fight, fight, fight, that was all his mind could process.

The Entropi seemed unaware of Giovanni's psychotic glee in attacking. It did not react to the howled taunts thrown in its direction. But it did process being attacked physically and discharged a strong bolt of energy, focusing on the outstretched hands coming close to it as a point of contact.

The cloudy entity's lashes came at less frequent intervals as it seemed to be focusing more on those that were attacking it directly, rather than those escaping around the fringes.

Suddenly the smoky orb went silent, crackling flails ceasing completely...

...then with a flaring roar of power, a wave of electricity burst from within the Entropi's shadowy frame, striking out at those closest to it. It was potent, jarring, but not as infinitely destructive as the whips had been. It seemed the Entropi was exchanging individual strikes for more massive damage at a closer range.

Ichigo wasted no time when that reiatsu hit him. It was like a ton of bricks all decided to bear down on him while his strength took a hit. He didn't need to check the PDA to know just what exactly that reiatsu was. The signs had been obvious: malfunctions, earthquakes, ashes, something was bound to happen.

He didn't even bother to get to the battlefield before deciding to summon his bankai, his appearance taking the expected change. If this reiatsu was any indication, the best thing to do was go at it at full power and at full strength. Lives were at stake.

The same principles applied for the summon of his hollow mask.

After one last flash step, he was it-- a pulsating orb of what looked like some kind of energy. His first thought was electricity, but even that seemed too mundane. Either way, it didn't matter. This thing had killed people. He could see the bodies. He could practically sense the lingering reiatsu disappearing. This only caused Ichigo to tighten his grip on the white Zangetsu, the chain at the end of the hilt ( ... )

The sword swiped through the orb, encountering no resistance save a brief whisper in the air, as though it were thicker there than around it. The reiatsu disappeared, like it was swallowed by the orb, pulsating and glowing brighter, and then a crackle of energy snaked its way across the ground and struck Ichigo.

Uryuu stood at a safe distance observing Ichigo's actions and shaking his head slowly. Always the one to attack first and ask questions later, he was no different from the Ichigo he had known before Econtra. After the substitute shinigami's attack left the the orb undamaged (and resulted in it retaliating against him) Uryuu had had enough of watching.

Summoning his bow, and enjoying the feeling of the weight of it in his hands Uryuu. Without hesitation he drew back an arrow and fired at the orb, a test shot at best to see how his spirit arrows faired against it. It also served as a way to announce his arrival to Ichigo. No use in wasting a perfectly cool introduction.

Ichigo panted heavily as he attempted to dodge the crackle of energy that struck at him. He managed to move fast enough to avoid it striking his body directly, but it still struck at his shoulder, causing him to hiss in pain, although it didn't show. The slightest hint that it even affected him was the gritting of his teeth as he repressed the hiss ( ... )

Kimblee had been sitting in her room when the final shake caused her to head outside just to see what was going on. She watched others head for the...thing that had landed in the crater, the roar that it emitted hurt her ears, but she didn't care. This was what she had been waiting for. The cuff was deactivated...she could use her full abilities. Oh how fun this was going to be.

She thought for a moment, she had no idea who had died yet, but she didn't care. Insane laughter could be heard from the alchemist as she clapped her hands together and then crouched down on the ground, placing both of her palms on the ground, allowing her alchemy to do its work as she sent a chain reaction of explosions towards the entropi, causing a massive series of explosions in a straight line, the biggest one happening right underneith the orb.

She watched, waiting to see what her attack would do. She still hadn't stopped laughing.

The orb was momentarily obscured by the explosion, fire and smoke and debris swirling around it. Using the dust thrown up by the torn ground, it was easier to see that there seemed to be a current rotating around the orb, counterclockwise, before it was dispelled in a whoosh as though the Entropi had blown it away.

Kimblee swore loudly as she covered her face with her arms, her hands balled into fists so that the matrixes that were tattooed there weren't harmed. Once the dust setteled and she could finally see again, she noticed that her attack had done nothing to the creature. Her eyes narrowed dangerously before she tried to figure out her next move. At least she had stopped laughing. Her eyes widened as she started to dodge one of the attacks. Her agility was better than most, but even she couldn't dodge forever and one of the attacks got her square in the chest.

She fell back onto the ground, laying there for a moment before she was able to move again. "Fuck..." She groaned before coughing and looking at her hand and seeing blood. "Damn it..."

As Kimblee rolled pathetically in the dirt, the Entropi thoughtfully offered severally more whips of energy to contend with. Melting the remains of spring snow and tossing up grass and dirt as it flailed out, the spherical shape didn't exactly chuckle.. but there was a certain pattern to its electric attacks that almost sounded like amused cackling.
