Apparently, this is going to be a banner week for me...at least in terms of number of jobs for which I submit applications. I've already put in eight applications, and it's only Monday night. Oh lord. I feel proud of myself if I apply to one job in a year. I think you are a superstar.

Well, I have to do three a week for unemployment, so that's a given, and some weeks I just have a lot more good sounding opportunities show up in the myriad of search agents I have running.

What's required to qualify for unemployment? Or do you suppose it's different by state?

I think it varies by state, at least a little. Here you have to have had a job and lost it through no fault of your own in order to get unemployment. I don't know about anywhere else.
