My friend decided to get a fancy new Sony Vaio desktop so I bought his 3-year old Gateway desktop for a song.  It's way higher end than my old one and runs like a rocket, especially with cable wireless ISP.  Setting up was a piece of cake until I had to deal with my DSL connection.

Apparently our fibreoptics here are not quite up to snuff and AT&T

Congrats on the new pc. My laptop is a Gateway and it's been no trouble at all. You'll probably love that faster cable internet.

That's odd about all your AT&T troubles. We have pretty good service here overall.

I thought CSI was great. It's sad to think by early next year there won't be any Grissom to watch. I seriously doubt I will watch very often, once he leaves.

Love the Gateway! It's not that I ever had bad service from AT&T, but for some reason my DSL connection was invisible to anyone who tried to test my line. I only had a couple of minor outtages in 4 years, and that was usually due to some kind of power hit. I really didn't want to switch to cable, but after several days of tail chasing it was the easiest way out. I'm sure if I'd finally gotten a tech out here they could have worked through it, but I'd already put my 20 hours in and I was having separation anxiety from my link to the outside world. :P

It was SO glad to see CSI again, but it was an intense hour under the circumstances. For the most part I liked Warrick, probably because Grissom had so much invested in him and I liked the connection between them. Agree with you... without Grissom I'll probably fade away unless I know he'll be showing up for a visit.
