My mom was doing a lot better up until last night, when she had another attack. Although, since they couldn't get her in for more tests until May, she decided to go on vacation this week anyway. I have to get up at 2:45am tomorrow (or tonight, whatever) so I can be ready for my limo driver to pick me up at 3:30am so I can catch a 6am flight out of O'Hare to Dulles. As the L was heading toward the Adams stop yesterday, this guy tapped my shoulder and asked me something. This has been the longest week ever. I worked 10 hours every day, except for Friday, when my manager finally let me go home early. If you add in my commute time, that's another three hours, making thirteen hours or more total every day. Last Wednesday was an incredibly long day. I came in to find my Inbox choc full of things labeled "High Importance" and "For Follow-Up." These are becoming two of my least favorite phrases in the English language. The holiday party was awesome. It turns out that our floor is the only one that does one.
