We found a balloon from a balloon race when we were on the Gower in July. It was from a primary school in Swansea so we kept the ticket and returned it when we got home. Yesterday I received a parcel in the post - it was a big box of Terry’s All Gold - apparently ours was the winning ticket. How cute is that?!

Cut the grass last night as, like Claire’s, the garden’s looking like it’s had a dose of magic fertiliser. I’ve persuaded Paul he needs to sell his MG and buy a VW bug bus. It’s taken about a year of gentle persuasion but I’ve finally got him convinced it’s a great idea. Now we just need to find one in good nick and with a Porsche engine J

Bungalow’s back on the market but now the wiring is fried in Mum and Dad’s house. Electrician says the lighting is so unsafe he can’t connect it back up so they’ve been sans lighting for two weeks. Supposed to be getting it rewired today. It never rains but it pours.

That was some storm (storms) last night. One crack of thunder practically overhead nearly blew us out of bed. In fact it did blow the cats off the bed! Travel chaos ensued this morning with most of the trains in and out of Leeds cancelled or delayed because of flooding.
