Close to sundown tonight the sky to the west was golden and threw a beautiful color on these eight Ibis as they were flying home for the night. I love the stacked formation they are flying in with one leading the group.
Let me know if you can't see the photo set below. I took this album's worth of photos this time two years ago. Freaking fun. I would have loved your camera equipment and skill for photographing birds. I did my best.
Yes, I can see them...all! I peeked a little further than the cranes. Those are super shots you got. There are several I would choose to be printed. I love 0155, and some others that had no numbers. A pink cockatoo? How unusual, and the one of the ducks through the window...love it! Thanks for sharing with me. And the little boy....so full of curiosity and wonder.
I was actually on a bike ride and saw it up ahead. By the time I got stopped and got my camera out, it was just taking off....a one shot deal. I have this one at the gallery and call it "Ibis Take Off." I will never tire of the birds and that dramatic wing action.
Thanks! Yes, that Golden Hour of time there really gives you what you can't get at high noon. You'd hardly know they were Ibis or white birds except for that unmistakable bill.
I've made several business cards over the years and always use one of my bird photos on them. Thanks so much!

I need to drag myself out to shoot pics of cranes for you. Festival of the Cranes is this weekend in Socorro, NM at the Bosque del Apache.

Oh, please do...I love Cranes. Those big birds with their wings in action really get my attention.
