another bike ride . . .

As you know, I went to Robinson Preserve on Wednesday for my first big bike ride. I rested on Thursday, and then went back again on Friday, this time at 6:30 a.m! I took Little Red, along with my Nikon big lens, too. I carried Little Red in my shirt pocket, and it was so handy for a lot of the pictures because I didn’t’ have to stop and get ( Read more... )

you remember my previous post about composition --
"10 rules" -- the rule of 3, check it out.

The strong point is where the strong lines intersect.

I see some possibilities (to me) for your upcoming show in this group. #6 with the tower on the left side and I really like the one of the refection of the tower in the water. The one of the tower called "getting lighter" too. I don't know how good it would be for an actual photograph but I do like the one of the spider web with the water pattern behind it - it's neat with 2 patterns overlaid.

I am having a terrible time narrowing down the photos I have chosen. I have at least twice as many as I'll need. I'm falling behind my schedule, and still haven't started the mounting and matting yet.

Very nice photos! I like all of them but the reflection of the tower in the water appeals to me for some reason. Maybe because my own world is a little upside down right now???

Thanks! That reflection was so sharp and clear, it was better than the real thing. :)

Dawn is a beautiful time of day to be out. Your bike does sound better than sore back and hips!

You took some beautiful photos. You are really good at reflections! You caught quite a few different birds, too.

Thanks, Beth! Early morning is my favorite time to be out and taking photos. I can't wait for it to get cooler here and then I'll be out riding a lot more.
