Using LATCH to secure booster seat to car but Seat Belt to restrain kid?
I know some of you are car seat "experts"....I have one of the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 convertible car seats that goes from 5 point harness to booster with a back to backless booster. What's your favorite cookbook?
I want to expand my selection of menu "staples" that are tried and true and that I can learn to make repeatedly, or to find a cookbook (or two or three) I can really rely on give me good results. What are your go-to cookbooks? -
Vegas favorites?
Patrick will be in Vegas his week for work and since my mom and dad are living here now, they are going to watch the kids so I can go join him for the weekend. I have never been and am so excited! How much do your 5 - 6 year olds weigh?
Parker just turned 6 on 9/14. I took him to the dr today (not his well check yet but for a strep test) and he weighs 37.4 pounds, which I am fairly sure is what he weighed last year too. His BMI is now just 12 (not even on a chart) and he's dropped to 5th % on the height/weight growth charts from what I can tell, which is off from his usual 20th ( Read more... ) -
Favorite toys for 6 year olds?
Parker's 6th birthday is next Friday (yikes!) and I am really at a loss as to what to get him. He really NEEDS nothing. I refuse to buy any more legos as we have them EVERYWHERE it seems. What are your kids loving these days? Toys, games, books, outside stuff, what ideas do you have for me??? -
I need sneakers (not work out shoes)
What do you wear to run around in casual clothes/jeans when you don't want to wear boots, etc? I am thinking I need a casual pair of sneaker type shoes that aren't athletic, work out shoes. Any ideas? -
Where does time go???
Tomorrow I take Parker to Kindergarten preview day. He's going to be nearly the very oldest in his class as he missed the cut off by only 2 weeks. So, he'll turn six shortly after school starts in September. I guess I should be happy I got to have him around one more year beore he leaves me forever ;) But I'm just so not ready for this!

Update
After all night Sunday in the ER, and Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday in the hospital, I am very happy to say my Morgan is WORLDS better than she was over the weekend. My sunshine is coming back to me and I am so thankful. She's been on constant IVs since Monday night (took WAY TOO LONG to get it started) and the fluids have really helped perk ( Read more... )
