Meat, beer, fire and water. And, the freaky_eggplant interview.

Back from the cottage. It was a good weekend. No - it was a great weekend, just like it was two years ago. We were worried about the potential for bugs because we've all heard the horror stories about what it's like in the bush this year, no? Well, our spot on a point in Pike Lake was just fine. There was a near-constant breeze that kept them at ( Read more... )

When you say ATTEND a tennis tournament at Jarry Park, do you mean like, playing tennis? Or watching tennis? I like watching sports not-on-tv and I live super close to Jarry Park. As a matter of fact I just got back from walking there. So if it's watching tennis at a time when I'm not working I'm up for it. But if you mean playing tennis, sorry.

I mean, attend and watch. The women's tournament is there this year. Prices/dates can be seen here.

The cheaper the better for me, and in fact, when I go, I prefer not to sit in the big court. There are usually several matches going on at once, and you can either pay cheap and sit in the nosebleeds to watch the "stars" or sit up close to watch the lower-ranked players. To the untrained eye, I think it's just as fun to sit real close on the secondary courts...

I don't have my work schedule for that far in advance yet, but I should be off the weekend of the 26th. I work every other weekend and I always have a week day off. Cheaper is better for me too. I may be able to do an evening or matinee depending on which hours I'm working.

An evening draw would be better for me, but if a matinee is the only way you could go, I'd consider taking a half-day for it. Let me know as soon as you're 100% in, and I'll get us tickets.

I don't know if you read online comics but this just started last month and it is about sharing living quarters in Montréal. Gisèlle Lagacé, from Gatineau is the cartoonist.
