the truth is that if a few drinks can impair your judgement in any other activity, (driving etc...) then it could impair your judgement in deciding to sleep with somebody... why? because your judgement is impaired! that kinda makes consent impossible...
And this situation goes beyond basic consent. He's basically describing a gang rape. I'm offended that this is brought up as if it's a legitimate question and highly disappointed that people are sitting there discussing it as if it has even a small bit of merit.
i was wondering when you were going to weigh in. It's pretty much that first response of someone thinking drunk women can give consent, made me sick. that's the kind of friend ydou don't go out alone with because she will leave you in danger talking bout "but you said you could handle it!" when you were on your 6th martini
Stuff like this is why I make so many polls. I am continuously shocked by the shit people believe. Yet honestly I'm no more shocked by the women than the men. Both responses are making me so sad and so enraged.
Some of the guys there need to have the question "reframed" for them to understand, I think. Like so, "So you go out to a party in hopes of meeting a cute girl to hook up with and, after a few too many shots, awaken the next day to find out several men took it upon themselves to have sex with you... in your ass. Is this rape?" This would help, I'm sure of it. I don't know what may help some of those women to see it properly though. :\
