Kohl was still by the brothel, working to keep the place more or less zombie free. There were people depending on him to keep things safe. So it was a bit of a surprise to see the sight of one odd woman and a unicorn just show up.

She was a little worn down, not used to non-stop fighting like this, but far from out, despite the fetid blood and gore on her clothes, carapace and blade. When she spotted the human, she pulled the cloth away from her mouth, smiling weakly with thin lips. "Hello."

Twilight looked exhaused- head hanging low, mane drenched in sweat, and each step was slow and deliberate as they approached the brothel. The city's effect on her magic made the fight all the more taxing, but the pony kept up a brave face.

"It's good to see somepony else out here. Are you alright?"

When you lived in the Netherworld, few things tended to surprise you. Between fights to the death in the streets, exploding penguins, over the top attacks, and rampant parodies, there was always something just far enough out of the ordinary to change your entire perception of just what constituted normalcy. Therefore the white person clothed in rags and the purple unicorn, therefore, didn't merit a single glance from Etna at first. For all she knew, the ragged person was just another gatewalker and the unicorn was some kind of summon. It wasn't until Etna saw a few zombies end up decapitated that her interest was caught. After all, that was a pretty damn good cut ( ... )

The rifle shot caused her to jump and turn toward the source, claws gripping her sword tightly, before it registered that the person with the gun was helping. The question about the sword came only a moment after, causing her to flinch long enough for a zombie to smack her-trying to scratch, but utterly failing to break her carapace-and force her to step to the side before cutting it down as well.

Assailant dealt with, she turned back toward the newcomer and replied through a layer of filthy cloth covering her mouth, "I would rather not talk about this sword, but who is Lisa Frank?"

Etna blinked and squinted against the writhing mass of undead limbs--both those flying in the air and those still attached to their owners--again. She thought she had seen something purple and decidedly girly-looking in there somewhere, but it didn't seem like whatever it was was there anymore. Oh well. Whether it had been there or not, it wasn't Etna's problem. "Eh... Nevermind!" she called back with a sheepish grin.

She gave a quick glance around the surrounding area to make sure there weren't anymore zombies to shoot before snatching up her bag of guns and making her way over to the wrapped woman, ramming the butt of her gun into the skull of anything that got in her way. Etna's fanged grin, now considerably less sheepish, never left her face as she arrived next to the woman. "You don't have to tell me where you got it now," Etna said and glanced at the sword. "Buuuut you look like you could use some cover. Lucky for you, I just happen to have a few bullets to spare and some aggression to get out."

Twilight had been working her way around the borders of Veles, her mind set on investigating the circumstances of it's arrival. It stood to reason that the appearance of an entire city in Adstringendum would require massive amounts of energy- enough, hopefully, to leave a residual signature that she could analyze ( ... )

She looked over at Twilight as the rocks flew, not even pausing to blink at the fact that she had been addressed by a purple unicorn. She'd seen far stranger in the Inciphisphere. Without missing a beat, she capitalized on the the distraction to break free from the crowd, giving herself room to breathe and, more importantly, putting her back to zombie-free ground.

"Thank you, miss...?"

While she waited for a name, she lunged back toward the crowd with a vicious swing of her sword that sent two zombies that had crowded too close together to the ground, sliced in half just below the ribcage.

"Twilight Sparkle- I don't believe we've met, but that speech you made about the post office some time ago left an impression on me. Iit was one of the main reasons I worked so hard on the library."

As she finished, two rocks shot past either side of PM, punching through a pair of zombie heads. As they dropped to the ground, relieved of their unnatural life, Twilight both winced and made a mental note. Aiming for the heads seemed to be highly effective.

She jumped back as one of the zombies she'd cut in half made a grab for her ankle, bringing the tip of her blade down through its head and partway into the ground before casually pulling it out of the dirt, preemptively relieving the other half zombie of its own head and backing up.

"It did? It's so nice to hear that, I had thought that everyone considered my idea stupid."

She ducked a lunge from another zombie, shoving it aside and driving her sword through its eye.
