This situation is beginning to worry me more and more.

As I see it, the Guildmasters seek to eliminate the one who found the treasure because he may indeed claim rulership of the island. Either it's some item whose bearer is always the ruler... or it's a weapon. Something so powerful that it can threaten the guilds; perhaps even overthrow them ( Read more... )

Well, we have our orders. Find the one who has the treasure. Apparently he really can claim rulership over the island.

Or so I'd assume from such a reaction coming from our leaders. Such a treasure... If it can confer a kingdom, then it surely must be kept out of the wrong hands. But whose are the right hands?

Perhaps things will settle down a little now that the pirates are gone.

On the other hand, perhaps not. Treasure hunts have a tendency to bring out the worst in people, especially working in competition... This may cause a few problems. And with the training camp the rest of this month as well...

At least the storm has died down. Recovering from that isn't going to be an easy job. Strange how these people have lived around water all their lives, but when a storm like that occurs, they barely know what hit them.

Then again, I suppose the sandstorms in Dalmasca are the same way. There isn't much that can be done.

This celebration coming up seems like a good opportunity to relax for once.

I do hope there isn't any trouble; I doubt those of us in the Legion want to have to deal with business on a holiday anymore than anyone else does.

I suppose I ought to find some suitably formal clothes...

I've managed to find a job in a bookshop in Psilos, near the way up into the next tier. It's actually quite close to my apartment, which is helpful.

I don't usually read much, but then, I've never had a great deal of time for it before. Perhaps I'll start now. I doubt there's much chance of me avoiding it, really. Something tells me one doesn't work ( Read more... )
