...I was awoken by the most disturbing noise to reach my ears for some time. What was the cause, I do not know, but it seemed to rise from the very depths of the city. Perhaps this has happened before, prior to my being brought here? Whatever it was, it seems to have passed, leaving much unease in its wake. No one has been harmed, I hope.

Look for the church spire. Should you head toward it, the apartments are close by. Many people have taken residence in this building, for it is one of few places of safety.
