I confess I have been paying little attention to communications of late. Looking at the frequencies here, what is apparent is that a great number of people have arrived recently. Though, 'arrived' hardly seems appropriate, since it suggests an element of choice.

I never thought that rain could be so calming. It pours through the streets like liquid silver, with no sign of coming to a hasty end. It brings me happiness to see so many people taking enjoyment and comfort from something so simple as an unexpected downpour.

...I was awoken by the most disturbing noise to reach my ears for some time. What was the cause, I do not know, but it seemed to rise from the very depths of the city. Perhaps this has happened before, prior to my being brought here? Whatever it was, it seems to have passed, leaving much unease in its wake. No one has been harmed, I hope.
