Not coming Here Again

.... Unless I've full control of my chart. The staff should be recording all fluids in to me, and more importantly out. Due to what seemed like a lack of flow my fluids have been upped so high I am completely swollen and bloated. Issue is I am draining GREAT! The nurses have on average recorded 1/4 to 1/2 of my urination and less of my surgical

I don't know if this could be what happened to you, but when I was in the hospital last year, one of my veins infiltrated. I think that's what they said happened. They were doing a flush after I'd been treated with I.V. iron, and they did the flush all night. This caused there to be way too much fluid going into my vein, and it leaked out into my skin. My hands swelled up like balloons and had peaks on the back of them from the fluid. My joints were stiff and sore from the fluid accumulation for weeks after I got out of there.
