I am so grateful that my mother was able to accept things as they were and go without grasping at straws. She flatly refused life support when they offered it at the hospital, and died 3 days later. I hope I am brave enough for that when my time comes ( Read more... )

My immune system has taken a beating in the last few months from all the stress. I literally can't seem to stay well for more than a week. I am sick AGAIN. Since the funeral I have missed two more days of work (which will be docked from my check since I have zero sick days left). At my mom's pre-op appt. they did 2 CT scans (the first ones she has had since being diagnosed with cancer). I am not going to give the results here. I am still nurturing the small hope that her most recent (3rd) CT scan will show that there has been some sort of mistake.
