Because of my back issues the house hasn't had a thorough cleaning since last December. Sure, rfunk is great about helping out here and there with vacuuming and other things whenever I have asked, but he's not big on dusting or mopping, and I'm not very comfortable asking him to clean if I'm not helping. That's very true, and I have asked him to vacuum or clean the bathroom several times. And I've asked him to do ALL the heavy lifting, including the groceries, bags of salt for the water softener, and the trash. I even asked him to pick up sticks in the yard this weekend so I could mow. He does it, without complaint, and I am very, very grateful. I make sure to try and do what I can do, as well as do everything I can to get well.

Yes, I should ask him for help, and I do. That still doesn't mean I have to like it. ;-) So the more infrequent tasks tend to slide for longer than I might like, because I can't just do them myself without thinking about it. It takes more creative thinking.
