Labor Day weekend

I was supposed to go to the Stones Rising pagan festival with a friend this weekend, but Ki is still on medicine for his urinary blockage, so I decided I should stay home and make sure he gets the meds and does okay. And I hated to abandon my cats for a third weekend in a row needed to spend time at home with my cats to help them settle into their ( Read more... )

Thanks :) I usually don't photograph well, but I'm happy with the way that one turned out. I was going to go to HiV; I had that outfit in my car ready to change into. I wanted to go but I was really tired from not getting any sleep. Not just tired, but I could feel bitchiness coming on. I probably would have just sat moping in a corner, getting drunk and bitching about all the cigarette smoke. I decided it was best not to subject you all to that :-)

Yes! I should totally go to Dayton with you. My friends go every other week, so we could all go together. Fusion is a fun club. There is actually room for both dancing AND smoking in the same room!

You look great! What a fantastic weekend - gothing AND Cirque du Soleil.

I'm jealous about your club. The clubs here wont play the older stuff much and never play Peter Murphy. If I ever travel to Dayton I will try to hit that club.

Thanks! I has been a super weekend.

The club didn't play a whole lot of older stuff. I really wanted to hear Souxie, but they don't play her. I like a lot of the new, stuff, though. It was mostly good.

That's not your kitchen, is it? It doesn't feel right for you or for a farmhouse. It occurs to me that somebody had to take the photo... and that you had to drive to Dayton... so maybe you're at a friend's house?

No, it's an apartment kitchen. I met a friend in C-bus and we drove from there. I should post pictures of my kitchen. Not right now, though. It's a mess!

Kitchen before painting duriyah September 5 2005, 17:16:52 UTC
Here's a picture of the farmhouse kitchen before I painted or moved in. The part on the left that looks like a desk is a ceramic flat stove. A woman in a wheel chair used to live here so her family built the stove like that so she could use it in her chair. Also notice the dishwasher (yay!).

I have painted over the white and the stenciling with indigo paint. I would like to paint the walls in a terra-cotta or saffron color. Once I get it cleaned up in here, I'll post before and after pics of the cabinets.

That's more like it! The stove has potential and makes me go "hmmmmm".

That's a great new icon you have, and the picture of you is fantastic! I'm so jealous of you seeing Cirque du Soleil. I've been getting them from Netflix. My favorite so far is Alegria.

Thank you! I usually don't think I photograph well, but that one turned out well, so I thought I'd share :)

I had never thought about gettting Cirque on NetFlix. I should do that. I have only seen them live. I saw Dralion when they came through Columbus two years ago, and now Verukai. I would like to see as many as I can. They are fantastic!
