That's not your kitchen, is it? It doesn't feel right for you or for a farmhouse. It occurs to me that somebody had to take the photo... and that you had to drive to Dayton... so maybe you're at a friend's house?

No, it's an apartment kitchen. I met a friend in C-bus and we drove from there. I should post pictures of my kitchen. Not right now, though. It's a mess!

Here's a picture of the farmhouse kitchen before I painted or moved in. The part on the left that looks like a desk is a ceramic flat stove. A woman in a wheel chair used to live here so her family built the stove like that so she could use it in her chair. Also notice the dishwasher (yay!).

I have painted over the white and the stenciling with indigo paint. I would like to paint the walls in a terra-cotta or saffron color. Once I get it cleaned up in here, I'll post before and after pics of the cabinets.

The stove is fun. The kitchen has a convection oven, too. I tried my hand at it with a Digorno pizza last night. But the oven apparently runs quite a bit hotter than the controls indicate, so I had burned crust on the edges and soggy crust in the middle. It was still fun, though. That kitchen is so great!
