Hard to say man, it's all pretty subjective. Best bet's for me to drag your sorry butt to the store sometime. Get a few starter bands goin', see what ya like about 'em, and go from there.

There ain't really a "best" band out there, even if a few mainstream fanboys get a little worked up over certain ones.
