lost, aside from last episode, is AWESOME this season. heroes post-break has sucked though. i'm DLing the last 3 episodes now but am very skeptical.

The most recent three Heroes episodes are phenomenal. You'll like them. As for Lost they keep promising answers, which are well overdue considering NOTHING has been answered for two and a half seasons, yet they aren't actually doing that. And then there's the whole Desmond timeshift episode? I just wish they'd go back to the ensemble formula that worked so well. Every episode now only have three or four characters max.

My Lost-addiction pretty much vanished with the start of the third season. It got too much of that neverendling X-files-conspiracy plot in which they built in more and more suprises without really having a concept what it could turn out to be in the end. I am seriously worried that they are already heading into the same un-uptying-able dead-end on Lost. They are trying to slow things down in the same way as in the X-files - by showing dialogues between people knowing more but simply not telling it, which at least in case of the xfiles was a very obvious sign, that the scriptwriters were simply running out of ideas.

The idea of showing the character's stories got a bit lame, because the more is revealed, the less interesting the chracters from the first season get. The first episodes had this Lord-of-the-Flies-romantic which got lost meanwhile.

I also hated that smoke idea, since it was the first pure fantasy element, while the polar bears and so on pretty much left an opportunity open to solve everything in a way plausible for
