My theory has always been that the curses were created to conjure negative emotion. However, the festival with its eternal night was certainly a doing of the City and therefore could be classified as a "curse". It was also a peaceful and pleasant couple of days, the lycanthropes aside

The highschool curse wasn't all too bad. Or the one where we got sent to our world, for a short while.

Nothing really big, the whole city was reverted into a mindset they were either attending high school or teaching at one. It wasn't so bad, probably because I am still in high school.

I really enjoyed the moon festival und the rollerblade curse. Ah.. there was one in the past where some of us saw ghosts of people we knew. I liked that one as well because I got to see my parents again.

Well, I think it might have been different for everyone.. some saw ghosts of enemies or loved ones.. und I heard there were even ghosts appearing of people who were still alive.
