My theory has always been that the curses were created to conjure negative emotion. However, the festival with its eternal night was certainly a doing of the City and therefore could be classified as a "curse". I enjoyed a curse where I got turned into a bear.

And I enjoyed the rollerskates curse once I got used to it. Though,I received a lot of scrapes.

That one with the rollerblades was fun. Even though it hurt like hell for a day or two afterward.
