Been a great summer. Had an amazing time at grad school; made some really awesome friends and got to re-establish friendships with those I made last year. Learned a ton of stuff I am incorporating into my teaching and added many more tools to my mental teacher's "tool box". So I've spent a good 30-40 hours a week working on projects for grad school since I got back from Oregon. So far the first one is pretty amazing if I do say so myself. The perfectionist in me wants to redo a bunch of the videos with a better camera with better zoom and sound but that's one of the most time consuming parts of the project so nope! ( Read more... )

I fly off to grad school in less than 30 hours. I'm scared, excited, hesitant, eager, ready, unprepared....It will definitely be an adventure. I wish I had started my studying for the entrance exam a month earlier, I really let some skills get rusty. But it will be fun, Oregon here I come! Why do I have to start getting a cold during vacation though? Honestly fuck that. I just guzzled 1/2 a bottle of Nyquil, I better wake up fine!

I guess I only really post twice a year now, I mostly keep this thing to be a voyeur into my friends lives or to keep up with older friends. But I guess life is great. I love my job, so much.
