Been a great summer. Had an amazing time at grad school; made some really awesome friends and got to re-establish friendships with those I made last year. Learned a ton of stuff I am incorporating into my teaching and added many more tools to my mental teacher's "tool box". I then took a 3 day course to be trained in TEAM - CT's new program for beginning teachers. I am now certified to mentor a new teacher through the 2-3 year beginning program and certified to have a student teacher. I'm still debating whether I want a student teacher or not. On one hand I had a bad student teaching experience and would love to provide a good one for a college student but on the other hand I am very bad at giving up control, especially of my band to someone. We'll have to see...
For now my summer plans include; friends, family, relaxation, many many books, bbqs, movies, & starcraft 2 :)
