I am realizing how deeply I've been affected by the suicides
recently of gay teens because of bullying. I was bullied and
beaten up in elementary school for being weird.
I was bullied in high school and called a lesbian.

Are there really people with whom I communicate who do NOT understand that the Democratic party in the USA does not have control of the Senate? That the filibuster law allows Republicans to prevent laws from being put to the vote in the Senate. The panel today at Dragon*Con was wonderful. I cannot remember such a fun panel since the time, I was on a panel at Dragon*Con to discuss "Highlander," both the movie (believe me 'There can be only one Highlander movie'. I have recently received a communication from a Republican stating that the Democrats have control of Congress and that any legislation or lack of legislation is totally the fault of the Democratic majority. Do these people simply not have a clue about how the filibuster from the Republicans can block legislation? Hello? Why does our voting ( Read more... ) -
I am utterly exhausted
My husband has been without a job since November, though he had severance pay through January. He has now run out of all of his unemployment from the state and the bloody senate has not yet extended unemployment benefits (and yes, Pat T. it is the Republicans who are threatening to filibuster and block the extension of benefits ( Read more... ) -
