It's been a few days since everyone got stuck down in Rapture and Meredith is losing her mind.

She's losing it, she's sure of that. With Sean down there, she's been doing everything in her power to keep busy, spent more time than she can speak of near the entrance, run around the clinic in preparation for anyone who returns injured. It's not knowing what's happening that gets to her, not being sure what happens, not being able to go down there and find him herself, to bring him back the way he always seems to do for her when she's in trouble.

It's to the point that, at a loss for anything else to do, she's now washed and folded every piece of clothing in the house she can get her hands on, everything that needs it, things that probably don't. She's remade the bed she barely sleeps in, and she's putting the last of it away when she hears someone at the door.

Sean wouldn't knock, she knows he wouldn't, but that doesn't keep her from rushing into the living room as quick as she can, Doc at the door even before she is, pawing at it as she pulls it open. "Lexie," she says, a little disappointed, but still holding out hope for news, "hi."
